in #maskpk4 years ago

In the present day, we all know that the Moon is roofed by craters in addition to mud and particles from comets, asteroids and meteoroid impacts. We all know that the Moon’s darkish areas, referred to as maria – which is Latin for seas – aren’t really seas. As a substitute, they’re craters that lava seeped into billions of years in the past. We all know that the Moon has virtually no environment and solely about one-sixth of Earth’s gravity. We even know that there’s fairly a little bit of frozen water tucked away in craters near the Moon’s poles.

There isn’t any wind or air on the Moon to assist “erase” craters, so the floor is roofed with the stays of outdated and new impacts.

There are nonetheless many questions left to reply concerning the Moon. And essentially the most thrilling days of lunar exercise should still lie forward as NASA sends people on the subsequent missions to the Moon and ultimately to Mars.ToMmByM.jpg
