Ohhh I just love Matchpool and for those who don't know @ned scott is the CEO at Matchpool and also of Steemit. In this blog I would be overviewing their RoadMap . So ... Let's Begin !
On 2nd April, 2017: Matchpool had their ICO in which they raised a whooping 125,000 Ethereum which is valued more than 37 Mil USD at todays price and all this was raised from 2800 Contributors.
On 12th July, 2017: Matchpool released their first Alpha and it was termed as ALPHA 1.0 ... In this release their were some name changes and features were introduced such as being able to register and login with email or Facebook, to create and manage profiles, to search for pools with the help of listed categories, propose to join your desired pool, add member to a pool, view the list of members in a pool, discuss with the members in the pool by creating threads within the pool, to create and manage the pools, to accept and decline the request of a member to join the pool, chat privately with the members of the pool as well as the ability to add a unique Ethereum address to the profiles and pools as suggested in their RoadMap
On 04th October, 2017: On this day Matchpool released their second alpha and it was termed as ALPHA 2.0 with this the release of this version Matchpool introduced 2 new cool features, first that the pool creator can can charge fees to join the pool and can change the fees anytime he/she wants to and second XGUP which is first version of GUP also known as Test Guppy Tokens were allowed to pay the fees for joining the pool by using the Ethereum Ropsten Testnet
On 18th November, 2017: Soon after the release of Alpha of 2.0 Matchpool released their final Alpha which will be termed as Alpha 2.1 in this release the members of the pool could request for an introduction with the other members of the pool, with is the members could also match each other and then have a private chat, members who were matched have an option to rate and review the quality of an introduction.
On 18th December, 2017: Right after the month of releasing their final Alpha Matchpool will introduce their first BETA and it will be termed as BETA 1.0 , in this release XGUP would be replaced with GUP and thus XGUP would no longer be used in Apps, to pay entry fees and the rewards will also be given in GUP
On 28th December, 2017: 10 Days later that is after the release of Beta 1.0 Matchpool will come up with Beta 1.1 which will bring along pool widgets that can be embedded in Web Applications which will allow Matchpool platform to be used in any Website along with this an API that will run along with the widget will also be released but not everyone could take use of it because it is stated that only the selected few developers can use it.
