Math Problems Set One

Hi there. I am starting this new series of posts with math problems.

Here is set one. Solutions and the next set of problems will be posted in a couple of days. These questions are not too hard for now.

  1. A square is a rectangle. Explain why a rectangle is not a square.

  2. What is the perimeter of a square with an area of 100 square centimetres?

  3. What is the volume of a cylinder with a diameter of 2Π (2 pi) and a height of 10 cm?

  4. Three consecutive odd numbers add up to 51. What are these odd numbers?

  5. What is the probability of a fair coin landing heads and rolling a fair six sided die that is a factor of 6?
