I refuse to believe that it's the downvotes that drive people off this platform. They just get labeled online and offline because of their contributions to the anti-censorship and freedom of speech activities the matrix so hard tries to suffocate. However the attempts to comply with the regulative bodies and keep the platform clean of controversial stuff is not really an effective marketing strategy for this platform.
What should be done is promote P2P self-hosted/client-side in infrastructure probably but at these reward levels no content creator has the revenue to run their own personal API node.
That account and others like it aren't really interested in making HIVE better. They've been playing victim after getting called out for spam and other misdeeds. As they say, data is king and the blockchain doesn't like. They just don't want anyone to explore their own histories.
I have seen Watchers attack really sound and high quality content creators too. I think too much weight is put on the content being original and too little on how well the content serves the world.
What this platform would need is conspiracy theorists and MK Ultra documentors content, and niche topics which don't have as much competition in the search results. This could bring more traffic on this place and increase awareness about this economy potentially pumping the price up.
Hivewatchers is far from infallible, but you're crazy if you think this constant deliberate spam harassment is justified. I specifically asked this account to not spam these rants in reply to me once, and now they play victim after choosing to spam almost every post and comment I have made over the past year. This is the behavior of a troll or a mentally ill person, not a victim of persecution.
It is also the same pattern of behavior exhibited by the bpcvoter accounts several years ago, and that group was downvoted for objectively abusive behavior as well. Don't defend a bad actor just because HW has been wrong at times.
