Introduction
I’m back again with another post on the media dapp series. While this series will focus solely on the 2019 top media dapp platforms, this post will focus on a platform known as ulogs. This is the first platform that places value on tears. The platform also enables its users to express their day-to-day activity and feelings. At ulogs, users believe in themselves; they are all celebrities and share a lot together.

I first got to know about ulogs through a post from @surperssinggoogle. I remember taking part in the teardrops series and for the first time in my life; They rewarded me for my tears. I would not want to go deep into my experience because this post is about ulogs and not me.
Wasting no more time, Let me introduce you to the ulogs review.
What is ulogs?
From my experience, I most times define ulogs as a blockchain based social platform that enables users to create and share their stories. Users of ulogs are true celebrities and they share in each other’s pain.
- The ulogs community rewards its members through tokens. Although Ulog is a general name, there are several sections of this platform that users can access. Some of these sections include:
- The ulogs knowledge bank where users can learn or teach new things on a daily basis. This makes sure that value and knowledge are imparted to interested community members.
- The ulogs fanlove enables the user to share and also learn from their true fans. This brings out the stardom from each user.
- The ulogs teardrops which reward its users when they show proof of tears. Contributing to this section enables the users to pour out their minds. Sharing a problem has been proven to be a source of relief to many people.
- The ulogs untalented enables users to freely learn and try a new talent without fear of been ridiculed for imperfection.
How to get started?
Getting started in ulogs is simple.
All you need to do is visit ulogs.org and log in through steem connect.
It will redirect you to the homepage where you will find the feed to keep you busy.
They position all the buttons you need at the top of the platform.
These buttons include:
- The profile button: The profile button will take you to your profile page where you can find your previous steemit post, ulogs, comments, a list of followers, a list of people that you are following, wallet information and your recent activities.
- The notification button: The notification button shows the user all the previous notifications like past comments, mentions, and wallet activity.
- The create post button: This button takes the user to an interface that allows the users to choose the category in which their post belongs. The category determines the type of post editor that will be used.
- The search box: Just like the name implies, it enables users to easily search and identify a post or user.
- The home button: When clicked, the home button takes the user back to the homepage where feeds are displayed.
Features of ulogs
This is one of the platforms that I enjoy using. Below are some reasons why I use the platform.
Good Interface
Ulogs may not have the best user interface, but the one they have is good and friendly enough for any user to easily navigate and engage.
Each symbol used in the layout depicts the function it represents.
Incentives
In normal life settings, many people shed tears over issues and there is no one to comfort them. With ulogs, users don’t just get comforted but also get incentives for their tears. This feature really makes this platform outstanding.
Performance
The site is not just user-friendly, it is less buggy and loads fast.
The main aims of the platform have been well executed. Having a community of people that share their lives together is really awesome. This community also helps community members learn and grow together without any fear of discrimination.
Conclusion, suggestion and rating
I remember when I first saw the name surpassing Google; I kept thinking of the possibility of surpassing Google in reality. Terry Ajayi popularly known as @surpassinggoogle has successfully brought an idea that truly surpasses Google. Becoming a member of the ulogs family is what everyone should. I highly recommend the platform to anyone willing to learn and share his/her daily experience.
I have just one suggestion to the team. I would love it if the developers added the back button at the first notification page of the application. This will enable users to leave the page without going through the ‘see all’ option.
This project is highly commendable and I’ll rate it a 4.6/5.0.
