STEEMING UP MY COMMUNITY COLLEAGUES AND FOLKS
It was an awesome time yesterday 25th Feb 2018 Steeming up my community! And so we decided to bring the good news of steemit to the people of the University of Port Harcourt.
During 1st phase of the meet-up, I @victoravwerosuo was sensitising the to-be minnows on how to navigate around the steemit platform. We had an attendance of over 15 persons comprising of about 3 to 4 minnows and the rest are yet to register.

*What is Steem Power?
*What is Steem dollar?
*What an Up vote is?
We were privileged to have the presence of @bait002 (founder of the Minnow school) and @raymondbruce (founder of Steemit_Extension and promoting steemit on social media).
@raymondbruce took his time to clear the doubts of persons who are still skeptical about the genuinity of steemit. He also made the minnows to understand that they need to be active on steemit to earn from steemit.

@raymondbruce also talked about the attitude of Nigerians indiscriminate selling of the Steem dollars and it is posing a threat to the value of steem and the community at large.
He concluded his presentation encouraging steemians to take their eyes off the $ and focus on developing themselves. In his words "if you're on steemit for the upvotes and money, you'll loose it"
And @bait002 took the Mic and after his introduction as the founder of the minnow school.
He advised newbies to take their eyes off the dollar and also engage in other activities in the platform. Like contests and being interactive on discord channels
other activities and sessions of steemit; like being interactive. He talked about what he faced as a Minnow and that was his motivation.
@bait002 answered some questions from the audience; 1 of them who asked if his lost password could be recovered; and another who asked for tips to be a successful steemian.
And lastly, @bait002 also introduced the steemexchanger.ng which has helped most Nigerians exchange their sbd for Naira.
At the end of the Meet-up, wireless Internet services was provided for all present. And all new users were registered and their account are awaiting approval.
