MegaCryptoPolis is a new "building" game on the web. Sounds boring? Well, what if I told you that every asset in the game lives 100% on the blockchain - the ethereum blockchain to be exact.

How it works

Everyone with a valid ethereum wallet (like metamask) and address can participate. The game is currently in a prephase, which restricts the actions to buying property. Speaking of which, every plot of land is its own ERC721 Token, displayed on a graphical grid map. The price of land is defined by the "district" and the surrounding plots. The more people are around you the higher the price. As soon as someone buys new land, players in a specifc radius get a share of the paied ether.

Later in Q3 2018 you will be able to build different constructs on your land which earns you real ether as passive income. Each of which interacting different with surrounding buildings.

Every building can get upgraded to earn more eth and construct so called "Mega Buildings". You will also be able to sell and buy the digital properties on a marketplace.

This might sound like Cryptokitties 2.0 and it kind a is. But way more complex and fascinating. At least in my opinion. Even if you don't want to spend real money on online games, this is still very interesting to watch. A POC how real land could be managed on the blockchain.
