RE: Memoir Monday #52 FINAL PROMPT (3/3-3/9) - Describe a Typical Summer Day When You Were Ten Years Old

Sounds like a pretty great time! You are lucky that you were able to ride your bike around. We lived out in the country on a road where the speed limit is 55 mph so my dad was always pretty strict about us not riding on the road. It didn't give us much space to run like that, but we had a big back yard to play in.

It was! A lot of our summer days were like this. Just, pure, unstructured exploration and play. Columbus was a much safer city back then. I was always curious about what it was like to grow up on the country. As we got older we hung out with some country kids in Lancaster, OH but never until we started driving.

We used to play in the woods and stuff, so that was fun. Going to my aunt and uncle's farm was always a good time as well.
