The Bands I've Seen Live in 2019... and The Ones I Hope to See in 2020

This was a slow year for me, as I've only went to 2 concerts the entire year. Pretty lame for a music lover, I know. 🙄

The first one was Equaleft, which I had the chance to see in my own hometown of Porto, Portugal, back in February.

These guys are from Porto and the vocalist - Miguel Inglês - is a friend of mine since 1996, long before the band was even created.

Then, in March, I went to Vienna, Austria, where I attended a show by Infected Rain, an underground Metalcore band from Chișinău, Moldova.

Here's one of my favourite tracks from them:

In 2020 I hope I can attend at least 3 concerts... so I'll be watching to see if any of the following bands will be performing live in a destination I'd like to visit, so I can combine a touristic visit with a musical one.

The first band I'd like to see is Blind Ivy, from Krasnodar, Russia. I've only recently discovered them and this track fascinated me. Just another proof that Women in Metal are leaving the boys behind, and making them eating their dust. 😁

Who knows, maybe I can even see them in Krasnodar one day... and pay a visit to @singa, as well?

Expellow are from Zurich, Switzerland and I've seen them before, 3 years ago. They have evolved a lot since then... and I'm eager to watch this group of misfits once more, playing their new material.

Here's an awesome song from Expellow, where they display their great potential.

A plane ticket to Zurich, from Porto, is actually quite cheap, so it's quite possible I'll be watching them in their own hometown again.

Another band I'd love to see is Abnormality, an American Death Metal Band from Boston, Massachusetts. The vocalist is Mallika Sundaramurthy, she was born in Gardner, a city in Worcester County, Massachusetts and she is a half Indian and half English-American, with her father coming from Chennai.

Her vocals are the most brutal and extreme that I've ever come out from a girl's vocal cords. Prepare yourself, because this one is not for the faint of heart:

The chances they come to Europe are pretty slim, though. 🤔

And last, but not the least... Jinjer, from Ukraine, the new worldwide phenomena in Metal.

(Maybe I can pay you a visit and convince you to go to a Jinjer show... @priyanarc?)

When you think you've heard it all, they surprise you with a mix between Reggae and Metal, a fusion that I would never expected to work. But they've not only pulled it off, as they also made one of their sickest tracks ever.

It's no wonder a torrent of Video Reactions to Jinjer's songs have invaded YouTube, over the last 2 years.

Well, I think this is a big wish list already. I'll be satisfied if I can catch at least one of these bands, if they make an European Tour in 2020.

By now you must have realised I've got a crush for Female Fronted Metal bands, with extreme vocals. To each, its own. Right? 😊

I wish you all a very good year, both out on the real world and here on Steem.

I also hope it's a good year for all the Tribes. There are a few ones which directly compete between each other... such as Sonic Groove and Tunes... as well as Neoxian City, PalNet and Marlians.

Which ones will come out on top?

If I'd have to guess, I'd say Sonic Groove and Neoxian. Let's see if any of the others can prove me wrong.
