The Swedish Academy

The Swedish Academy just cancelled the 2018 Nobel Prize in Literature.
There is a reason for this.
Meet Jean-Claude Arnault.Jean-Claude Arnault.png
wikipedia

In November 2017, in the context of the Me Too movement, Arnault was accused of sexually assaulting 18 women, which led to the Swedish Academy breaking all financial ties with him. He has nothing to do with The Swedish Academy.
But his wife, Katarina Frostensson, was a member of the academy.
Calls were made for her resignation, but she refused to resign.
The Swedish Academy had a vote to kick her out, but the result was her favor. She later resigned due to the massive preassure.
In the press release the academy writes:
-The decision was made on the background of an increasingly weakened Academy
and a decline in trust towards the Academy in the eyes of the public.

But hey, next year we will get 2 Nobel Prizes in Literature.

Hi @grassymole,

Unfortunately it seems that the prestige that used to surround the Nobel Prize has declined quite alot.

Is that where the word "noble" came from?
Is it a wordplay for manipulative purposes?

In - joy - your - day

The gave The Nobel Peace Prize to Barack "let's drone 'em" Obama.
The prestige surrounding the prize is long gone.
If it ever did exist at all.

Real eyes realize real lies!

That wordplay is lit.
