So, guys, the world cup fever has ended. The multi-billion quadrennial event has come to a very famous end with France becoming the champions of the world. I would say a well-deserved victory as none of the teams looked so evenly balanced. But now when it has ended we just have to wait for the at least August to get back and support our Favourite clubs and their heroes. So till then, we have to suffer from a no football situation. And read articles about it.
During the world cup, there were some pretty great performances from several players that made you stand up and take notice. In some matches, so guys shined very brightly and single-handedly turned the tables on their opposition. Taking a keen note of all those performances. Here I present to you my FIFA World 11 for 2018 world cup. The formation is
4-1-2-3.
GOALKEEPER
Through the World Cup, there were some Great Goalkeeping performances and some very big blunders. But the two guys who stood out for me were Thibaut Courtois and Jordan Pickford(Hugo Lloris was also in the running until he made that blunder in the final). They both performed very well in the whole tournament. But I picked Jordan just because of the fact that Thibaut is already a star and has played on many great occasions like this and delivered. But Jordon was new to this stage. A star was born in Russia to England.
DEFENCE
In the defense, it is the English and French Duos that man all positions. Lucas Hernandes and Kieran Tripper take up the role of the wing-backs, while Umtiti and Harry Maguire man the Central Defence. seriously it's very tough to choose because its world stage and there were a lot of players who played their skin out.
Mina and Varane are the two honorable mentions in this segment.
MIDFIELD
The midfield consists of some of the best players of the tournament. These are the guys who were running the whole show for their team. So I will go with Paul Pogba, Luka Modric, and Kevin De Bruyne. This midfield has got lots of creativity and strength and every time they go ahead they would be creating a threat.
once again it was very hard to miss out on Kante, Rakitic, Coutinho, Cheryshev so they go into our honorable mentions.
ATTACK
Boy, this is gonna get interesting and controversial. Despite playing in world cup neither of Cristiano or Messi could make it to this section and that's just why football is a team game and the world cup is the true test of your character. So the Attack would have two Frenchmen with a Belgian upfront in Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Eden Hazard. All of these guys performed very very well throughout the tournament. I know you all must be thinking "where is Harry Kane ?"I too thought the same while watching the semifinal and 3rd/4th playoff to be the top star you have to stand up whenever you are on the big stages.
But there is nothing too much to worry as he too finds a place on our list of Honourable mentions with none other than Romelu Lukaku.
This team will be managed by none other than the world winning coach himself in Didier Deschamps. The man of the moment.
