Sex education for growing teenagers in India has always been viewed as a controversial subject and there have always been two camps; one in support and one against it. It is time for us to understand the need and importance of sex education for our growing children that is as essential as formal education in developing a normal, healthy and aware individual.
Taking sex a tabboo is not good for a country with a population of 134 cr .Now it is high time to understand it a large number of rape cases ,girl molestation and eve teasing its just because of the fact that there is no guidance for teenager .
The role of society is to create a platform for children to be educated about themselves, both physically and emotionally; to teach the academic aspects of various subjects; to teach about their role and responsibility towards one another, their role towards their families, and towards society, as a whole.
A young boy or girl who is just entering teens, needs to learn all aspects about physiological and emotional changes that he or she will be going through while growing up. This information and awareness is absolutely essential for that young individual, in order to ensure that he or she can make informed choices as one goes through the teen years.
Moral and Social education:
This is a critical but sensitive aspect of education where the content has to take into account the regional, cultural and religious sentiment but within the framework of our constitution and law.

kudos to u to accumulate a forbidden content openly. I read many comments and am just positioning my opinion.
Like varied asset classes and risk appetites we have different segments ranging from poor, lower middle, upper middle to rich and affluent. We need to somehow create and express responsiveness from the poor and lower income section. You talk about only educating for SEX, I feel most is just literate. Largely, crimes are done and thrived in and around this typical fraternity. Women shy away at this talk. Rural India is totally mute as feared by local leaders or political stress. The mature generation is not at all worthy of developing the newer generation for daily skillset, leave SEX education aside.
I summarise my content by making parents at ease by taking this tabooed talk in a humorous technique. Also, keeping in mind our objective to first make AWARE and then edify. Thanx n cheers.

Its true that sex education is important for teenagers also.... Because they are the future of India and should know thw difference between right and wrong... They need to change their mentality for girls... In India, especially in rural areas, people do not know how to respect a women and have a very bad mentality towards women.... We should take some steps to teach them how to respect the women.....

Well i think sex knowledge is already inside human being , animals and all living things. Why now human needs to say lets have sex education becoz of there so called materialism and modernization . When a girl s walking half naked she is already giving invitation and when a boy is watching porn.whole day he will see every girl naked.
So i think we need to work in that modernization not sex education becoz human being never needs sex education since from the begining of this universe why suddenly now lolz
