Nokia A name similar to every single person out here was founded on the 12 May 1865 .The name Nokia comes from the town Nokia,&the Nokianvirta river . In 1865 Fredrik Idestam a mining engineer, established a ground wood pulp mill on the banks of the Tammerkoski in the town Tampere , in southwestern Finland.Tampere was then part of the Russian Empire .Idestam built a second mill near the town of Nokia in 1868. At the west of Tampere, by the Nokianvirta river Nokia lies 15 km.The river had better hydropower resources.In 1871,Idestam & his friend Leo Mechelin transformed Idestam's enterprises into a public limited company called Nokia .
In the 1800s, Mechelin wanted to expand the company into the electricity business but Idestam not agreed with this.After Idestam retired in 1869,Mechlin become the chairman and He convenience his shareholders to enter the company into electricity business.In 1902, Nokia commenced electricity generation.
After world war I Nokia was in huge crises and was about to get bankrupt.Then came someone who saved Nokia,...Eduard Polon, A leading Finnish businessman who was the owner of Suomen Gummitehdas (A rubber based company that used to manufacturer the rubbers products)...
.It was running as a normal company for yeas but in year 1960 after world war II Nokia srarted manufacturing The new company manufactured products including paper items, car and bicycle tires, rubber boots , communications cables, televisions and other consumer electronics, personal computers, generators, robotics,capacitors, Military technology and equipment such as the SANLA M/90 device and the M61 gas mask for the Finnish Army,plastics, aluminum and chemicals. In 1967, an electronics division within the Nokia corporation was formed. It operated for the next fifteen years, sometimes at a loss. Nokia researchers were encouraged to develop their own projects. This may have contributed to Nokia's focus on mobile phone technologies....
