I think 2 or 3 crime stories are coming daily in the newspaper where murder happens because of a love affair or an extramarital affair. Even these are happening in 18 - 20 years of marriages as well, mentioning only two examples just to have a feel about the seriousness of the issue:
On 24th may 2017 (Story - from The Pioneer): Delhi Police arrested 37Yr old woman for allegedly strangulating her husband to death after hatching a conspiracy with her lover in south Delhi Defence Colony.
3rd March 2018(The Times of India): One police woman (37 yrs) has an affair with her colleague and both were married and have kids. She was killed by him. The murder was so cold-blooded that he cut her body and store the parts in the refrigerator at his flat and then dump them after 2 days.
Sea of the crime stories related to love affairs. The latest report by the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) shows that over love affairs:
In Andhra Pradesh 198, Maharashtra 214, UP 190, Telangana 156, Bihar 125, MP 113, Tamil Nadu 123 and in Punjab 103 murders have been registered. (As per latest Report)
According to NCRB latest report following number of suicides happened because of love affairs:
Delhi 63, Delhi NCR 65, Bhopal 48, Ghaziabad 10, Chandigarh 21, Jaipur 7.
Here nobody is talking about the kids part, no newspaper or magazine or TV is showing the feelings of those kids whose homes and childhood have been destroyed because of their parents. Kids self-confidence shook when these things happened in the family.
I will not write here that why affairs happened and what should we do in that. My only take away after lots of reading on this subject over some years is that we all should practice "Compassion" which is very hard to do but then we should have "Courage" to become compassionate and challenge to embrace each other faults and especially when another person realises the mistake. Second important point is "Dialogue", never argument only try to do dialogue, when we challenge to do dialogue then only we can find a solution to any problems, arguments solve nothing. Third very important point is never disrespect or use bad language. We all are humans, and all make mistakes, nobody is perfect.
Let's create happy families with lots of love, compassion because only happy families can be able to nurture their kids well and then kids rise to become fine youth and that youth build the strong and happy country.
