Much as I had hoped to have photos of the SU-152, to juxtapose with yesterday's post (I will explain tomorrow), today I show off the KV-1S, the lighter, faster, more reliable, and most-produced variant of the KV-1 heavy tank.

Out of the current batch, this one easily has the worst paint job. My airbrush decided to mess with me during both priming and base-coating of this particular model. I primed all the models at once, and then base-coated them, again all at once, and yet it was this one alone that gave me trouble.
Из текущей партии это лёгко имеет худшую работу с краской. Моя аэрография решила возиться со мной как во время грунтовки, так и при нанесении осоновы красится на эту конкретную модель. Я загрунтовал все модели сразу, а затем основу-красил их, снова все сразу, и все же именно это только одно вызвал у меня трудности.
Perhaps the model is cursed, which is nothing new for me. I removed some of the paint with isopropanol and touched up the model, which resulted in a slight improvement.

The two round hatches on the engine deck don't show up at all in photos, but they are they are there. A good ink wash would fix that, but we'll see what the SU-152 looks like tomorrow. As you may know, the SU-152 was built on the KV-1S chassis, so the two models have a lot in common.
