This is the final model of my recent batch. I will re-locate and re-organise my 3D print shop before resuming miniature production. Hopefully, in the near future, I will be able to demonstrate the process of making a miniature tank batch in a video.

The SU-100Y is a difficult model to paint, because the road wheels have rubber tyres on them. I painted the tyres with matte black, which took quite a long time, before painting the tracks, and I took many breaks. Painting the tracks, as painstaking a process as it is, was quite easy by comparison.
СУ-100Y (произносится "су-сто-игрек"), модель трудно покрасить, потому у опорные катки есть резиновые шины. Я покрасил шины матово-чёрным, которые заняло довольно много времени, прежде чем красить гусеницы, и я сделал много перерывов. Покраска гусениц, несмотря на кропотливым ни был процесс, по сравнению с этим была довольно легкой.
The SU-100Y is quite a special model to me, for a number of reasons. First, I made a 3D model to fulfill a customer request, and during my research, I came across conflicting information; thanks to a friend, I ended up in contact with someone who used to work at the Kubinka Tank Museum to help me out. Once that was sorted, I recorded myself rendering the model in a five-part video series, and those are the first videos I put online.
СУ-100Y, модель для меня совершенно особенная по ряду причин. Во первых, я создал 3D-модель, чтобы выполнить запрос клиента, и во времени свой изыскании, я обнаружил противоречивую информацию, и благодаря другу, в конце концов я связался с кем-то, кто раньше работал в Музее Танков Кубинки, чтобы помочь мне. Как только это было разобрано, я записал себя, пока отрисовывал модель, в видеосериале из пяти частей, и это первые видео, которые я выложил онлайн.
As I've mentioned before, I'm an idiot who likes to work backwards. Between that, and the fact that I specialise in obscure models, I must confess that I don't yet have a model of the T-100, which the SU-100Y was built from, nor do I have a model of the nearly-identical SMK (how many bloody things are named after Sergei Mironovich Kirov?!), and for the record, I know how to tell the two apart.
Как я уже сказал, я идиот, которому нравится работать задом наперёд. Благодря этому, и тот факт, что я специализируюсь на малоизвестных моделях, я должен признаться, что у меня ещё нет модели Т-100, из которой был построен СУ-100Y, также у меня нет модели почти идентичного СМК (сколько чертовых вещей названо в честь Сергея Мироновича Кирова?!) и, чтобы быть ясным, я знаю, как отличить их друг от друга.
