RE: Plywood Mining

in #mining7 years ago (edited)

I never tried it before but it worked out OK the little 1/2in pieces of plastic tubing keeps the motherboard up off the wood allowing some airflow and keeping it level. I like bush-built anything. The plywood was free, the screws, free, the plastic tubing, free, I paid $6 for the switching and LED wires. It was that or buy a cheap case and modify it to fit or rip the wire harness out and throw the case away. I could see paying $45-65 on an open rig frame either. Also I've decided to give the Rx 580 a go. I can't find a good reason to justify a GTX anything. They are just too pricey. Newegg.com has an 8gb Rx580 for $359. If work keeps flowing I'm gonna try and buy 1 every other week or so until I've got 12 of em. Maybe then I'll be able to make a profit.
If it works out I'll have 2 GTX 750's and 3 650's to sell or I might just buy cases motherboards HD's and such to build 5 addition PC's to sell to recuperate some funds or donate to church or something. I don't have much space in my apartment

I just checked the msrp on RX 580. I'm shocked that they were at 230$ once upon a time. Crazy times. I wonder what I can craft together with scraps from a local homeDepot or Lowe's. You had some awesome savings! Really motivating!

~ $300.00 for a Intel quad core with 4gb ram a 500gb HD and 6 PCIE slots. Not bad. Maybe this weekend I'll get a Rx 580 but I don't think my check will be enough. I hope

Oh yeah $6 for the switches and $34 for a refurbished monitor which came today. 1523483095204.jpg
Now more waiting for money. Thank God I'm able to work and have a job.
