Hello Steem and MinnowBooster fans! As we make our way through the year, March is here and it's time to write down some updates and reminders, just giving you a feel for what we've been up to. First, let us tell you about something that really sets www.MinnowBooster.com apart from its competition.
The Only Promotion Bot Running its Own Infrastructure!
It should be clear to everyone from events that unfolded late last year, that the Steem blockchain can't continue as it is right now. Things have to change!
A 100% reliance on the Steemit https://api.steemit.com api is not a sustainable nor decentralised approach.
Steemit Inc. has made great strides to reduce the running costs of their node infrastructure but in a worst case scenario, where Steemit Inc can no longer provide public node architecture for whatever reason, most applications on this chain will go down with it, due to the fact that almost all apps use Steemit Inc's public rpc node cluster. So while Steem may have decentralised apps, they run mostly off a single point of infrastructure failure.
This alone should show how centralized and dependent this blockchain still is and we need to act to change this.
What BuildTeam offers:
BuildTeam is aware of this responsibility and thus, MinnowBooster as well as our other BuildTeam services (The Delegation Leasing market, Steemvoter, GINAbot, Quicksteem, TokenBB etc) have been running for a long time using our own private RPC node cluster in a self sufficient and community responsible manner; which means that even in the case of a catastrophic failure of Steemit Inc's infrastructure, our services will continue to run.
Up until just a few months ago we even offered nodes for the general public which we had to decommission due to the increased cost involved with running it and lack of delegation from whales who chose to delegate to other bot services that are not as conscientious.
Minnowbooster's Six-Day Voting Rule
There is always something to tinker on with blockchain services and MinnowBooster is no exception. A few months back after listening to user feedback, we decided to change the maximum age allowed by MinnowBooster for boosting from 2 days back to 6 days.
We hoped this change would have made our userbase feel a bit more secure about using Steem tools that enable valid post promoting and keep alive the engagement and interaction in the chain during prolonged downtrends on most cryptocurrency markets. This certainly seemed to be the case and we intend to continue this trend into the foreseeable future.
The Whitelist
A while back we discussed the possibility of shutting down the whitelist but it turns out that users overwhelmingly see the value in it and were very passionate about vocalizing its importance! Rather than going into all the details of the service in this post we recommend you have a look at an outstanding presentation of it below:

Have a look at the delegations menu on https://steemworld.org/@luckyme03200, your delegtions are all listed there, maybe you didn't cancel one properly. You cancel via Steemworld too.

Hi @steemingmark, sorry we didn't get back to you sooner, we have a support channel https://discord.buildteam.io which provides daily responses. Can you confirm what you are trying to do, are you trying to do a manual or automatic withdrawl? How much are you trying to withdrawl?
I have been selling my votes to youselfs my balance is about 0.06 but there is no response when I try and withdraw.

The only limit we are aware of is 0.001 SBD which is the min limit on the Steem blockchain.
Any ideas why it won't work?
