I started the Minnows Accelerator Project (MAP) just 20 days ago. The MAP initiative is just about to post its 8th and 9th contests, each with 6 content creators. We are thus reaching the 50 mark of Steemit minnows whom we have helped to promote. The chatroom has currently just under 30 of these authors and is starting to feel like a community.
All of this has put some pressure on my personal account, @rycharde, especially as I am also managing the mathematics and physics trails and starting out as a Witness. I therefore thought it best to have a dedicated new username for the Minnows Accelerator Project, which will be @accelerator. I thank @inquiringtimes for having found this unregistered name; because there is a 16-character limit on usernames this was by far the best name we could find.
So, to follow the future of the Minnows Accelerator Project and all the new minnow authors we shall discover, then please go to @accelerator and follow that account. It will still be managed by me, @rycharde, and very little will change. However, @accelerator is a tiny minnow account at the moment so I shall still manage some financial matters such as delegating SP to MAP contest winners.
I therefore also urge you to upvote and resteem this and future posts so that @accelerator can itself grow and be able to help even more quality minnow content creators. All Minnows Accelerator Project initiatives are free to minnows; you just need to show quality creations.

STOPI just found out about this and upvoted, but the Resteem icon is missing (I suspect it disappears after seven days.).
How are authors selected? Do I have to wear a tuxedo? I mean I could always rent one and a fancy silk top hat, even though that does not fit my persona and genre.
