There is a new Bitcoin Agreement, but ~83% is not an agreement in the decentralized world of Bitcoin. Also, no action is being taken for ~6 months, in which a lot can happen in that waiting time.

While the news gives us some information, their reporting leaves out a lot of details and leaves out important implications, which leaves the propaganda of just one side. It is important to know the counter arguments and counter actions of the ~17% who are not part of this "agreement", and how larger block sizes add risk to security and decentralization.

Will larger block sizes form "centralized Bitbanks" for Bitcoin, thereby risking an "as decentralized" blockchain?

Either way, Bitcoin will grow, and Bitcoin will scale. It is being predicted by many smart people that BTC will rise in value by extraordinary amounts. Now, a former PayPal executive, who is now in the blockchain space, is predicting each Bitcoin is going to be worth ~$1,000,000 USD in less than 10 years.
