a few years ago on a hot summer day i was in a long line at the whole foods grocery. there was a young girl about 2 years old who had had more than she could take. she was screaming and crying in a particularly loud penetrating voice. her mother was desperately trying to calm her but was having no success. everybody nearby was trying their level best to not become irritated. thankfully there was an element of comic relief- the mother in her futile attempts to appease her daughter repeatedly addressed her as Sunshine!🙄
