He hunted everything that moved, lizards, mice, rats, birds, spiders, flies... everything passed through his claws. One day, another kitten appeared next to him. Or so I thought. It had long whiskers, pointed ears without hair, the body was round rather than elongated body. The hair was curly and stuck to his fat body. The face was flattened, and his eyes... black, totally black. It looked like a cat from another galaxy.
My curiosity reached the limit of wanting to find out what breed it was. I never got to identify it. Everything was different from any known breed, but it was the closest thing to a cat, so I let it go.
This little round cat, that's what I called him, stopped by every day to visit my Curious cat. He seemed to copy his actions. I could see that. Round Cat would follow Curious Cat around all morning while I was tending my garden.
Little by little, I became more and more interested in Redondo's activities and noticed that he had something different. He was different from my Curioso, but he was always trying to please Curioso. I felt that Redondo adopted my Curioso.
While accompanying Curioso, I would paw at certain things that were on the floor of my garden and place them in front of Curioso. Curioso would pick up the little balls and eat them. One time, I tried to take one of those little balls, and Redondo stood in front of my hand and his strange little ball. He prevented me from taking it.
That's when I realized that this cat was not a cat, it was another species, maybe alien, that was trying to tame my Curioso. Redondo was staring at me, he would not stay any longer than my stay in the garden. I don't know for what purpose he was studying us, but it was late in the day when I tried to separate them.
One day, when I went out to the garden, Gato Redondo was already there. His eyes looked like bright lights, and the sound of his mouth was not that of a cat. He attracted my Curious Cat and took him with him. They both left my garden through a space I never knew existed, and Curious left without looking back. Round Cat, alien or whatever he was, adopted My Curious Cat and took him with him. I never heard from my, Curious Cat companion again.
