I am not sure when it started, but I think my toaster has developed a serious crush on me. I think he is head over heels in love with me. I know it sounds funny and absurd, but I am serious about this. It's like I can hear it say, Good morning, beautiful, every morning I go close to it. I hear it beeping frantically whenever I am close by; it sounds like a teenager who's lovestruck and won't stop texting his crush. You won't believe what happened to me just yesterday: my toaster ejected a slice of toast with a heart-shaped toast. I guess he was jealous.
I am torn between amusement and alarm. A part of me has a feeling that my toaster might truly be in love with me; another part of me feels that it might just be malfunctioning. As I am writing this, I am somewhere in my kitchen doing my thing while my toaster continues to woo me with its toasty charm, hehehe!
And I am not seriously sure how to respond to this. Should I play along or pretend to be ignorant of what is happening?
