Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!
This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.
Why Mischievous?
We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

Congrats to the winners!

First, thanks for the pick and upvotes. Much appreciated.
The candle that whisper secret when blown out, with my limited command in Engrish, I can easily vomit out 2 explanations.
Serious stuff: when a candle is burning, spectator would focus way too much on the lights and heat it generated. Often a scented candle would make great ambient smell, until the moment it was blown out. The incomplete burning smoke would smell way chemical than the scent. We can pretend the horrible smell is not there by walking away, but deep in our heart we all know there's a dirty little secret horrible smell when you try to kill the scented candle and save it for the next occasion.
Not so serious stuff: candle can't whisper secret. The secret is there but we don't see it when one is blinded by the brightness of the candle lights. Until it's blown off, only then you realized there's a pack of wolves starring at you!
I'd try to mischief, but the title seems a little too serious for me 🤣
Congrats to the winners! Thank you so much for my prize.
She had kept her secret, which was that when she turned it off, in that kind of smoke that came out of it, it whispered.
I realized this one day when, for reasons that are irrelevant, I stopped for a moment. I stayed there for a few minutes, static, as if my mind was refreshed to resume my rhythm of life. It was then that I heard it, and awkwardly, the candle said to itself:
"There she is, she's gone again, she always does the same thing. It's very sad for me, I always do my best. I have my best light, and I offer it to her as she settles into her chair and begins her reading.
There I am, offering you the best of my aromas, so that your reading is pleasant in this environment full of antiquity, memories, the smell of old pages, plastic and wrinkled fabrics.
No, she doesn't even realize what I do for her, because I give her a few hours of passionate encounters with reading under my caressing aromas and my harmonious light. "She will never acknowledge my presence in her life until she no longer has me."
That's when I realized that I should be more grateful for everything around me. Even the candle, which I light every day during my afternoon reading sessions wanted to be praised. Only she, the candle, said it secretly and everything remained within those four walls.
Congratulations to all winners.
For this Mischievous Monday entry, here's my thought about
"The Candle that Whispers When Blown Out" I will relate it into two different situations.
This phrase, which might be an idiomatic expression, has a deep and mysterious meaning. I can relate it to a person on their deathbed, who whispers their last words before bidding goodbye to their loved ones.
It could also relate to those writers who are no longer active in this platform HIVE. Perhaps they left because of other paths or opportunities, not knowing the hidden secret-the true value and reward-that lies within blogging and article writing. This value isn't just financial; as we write, our skills improved, enhanced, and developed. And who knows? Perhaps we might even become the author of a book one day.
Congratulations to all winners.
My mother used to light a candle every night for two reasons: first, so that all the deceased would have light, and second, because she didn't like the dark. But there came a very difficult time when she couldn't afford to buy candles. She felt she was failing the deceased, and this kept her awake at night. Her guilty conscience was so great that one day she pawned a ring to buy candles and fulfill her penance.
That night, when she lit the candle, the wind came in through the window and played with the flame, suddenly trying to extinguish it, then fanning it up again so it continued to burn. This went on for the first few minutes until the flame stabilized, and little by little the candle burned down until it went out. But then came the surprise, because the candle whispered as it went out. My mother, in the midst of her amazement, said aloud: “The candle whispers secrets as it goes out.” None of the family believed her. They looked at each other, and one of the more daring ones said: “It was the deceased who complained to you for stopping lighting them.”
The Candle That Whispers Secrets When Blown Out, would say this:
Blowing me out still won't hide the fact that you just finished practicing how to dress to impress a crush. Oh yeah 🙄
