The Warriors were finally able to snag their first win in Week 5 against the Squirts. A big win like this might be enough to turn the team morale around and climb up the standings. Both the bats and the pitching staff had a solid week. They look to carry the momentum into Week 6.

Batting

Despite losing Corey Seager (SS, Los Angeles Dodgers) for the season and putting up a zero points, the Warriors bats were still able to piece together a victory in Week 5. Eric Hosmer (1B, San Diego Padres) led the team with 33 points. Albert Pujols (UTIL, St. Louis Cardinals) and Buster Posey (C, San Fransisco Giants) both helped the cause with over 20 points a piece.

Pitching

The Warriors pitching staff put up a total of 106 points in Week 5. Rick Porcello (SP, Boston Red Sox) continues to dominate this year, putting up 25 points over 6 innings with 8 strikeouts and a win. Junior Guerra (RP, SP, Milwaukee Brewers) was the only sore spot this week giving up 5 runs and taking the loss for a total of -6 points.

The Squirt's Box Score

The Squirts were hampered by injuries in Week 5. They had 5 starting players that found themselves on the 10-day disabled list by the end of the week. Their closer Cody Allen (RP, Cleveland Indians) had a tough week as well, giving up 4 runs over 3.2 innings and getting -8 points for the weeks. Overall it was a terrible outing for The Squirts.
