DIY Travel PH: Moalboal, Pescador island <3

in #moalboal6 years ago

Pescador is an island situated in Moalboal with magical underwater fish and coral reefs! From Moalboal public beach, we took a pump boat and shared a rental fee of 187php per head (we were 7 people). On an average, pump boat operators offer 2000php rental fee for island hopping activity with inclusions of Pescador island, turtle watching and sardines watching. The boat we took had a capacity of 10-15pax. So if you're travelling on a group, it's an advantage of the cost and sooooooooo worth it!

When we arrive at the island (after 30 minutes boat ride), we immediately wore life vest, mask and snorkel (included in the fee mentioned above!) and excitingly jumped onto the waters. It was so great that we saw various and colorful school of fish plus the awesome live coral reefs! We happened to bring some snacks with us like bread, chips and drinks and paused for a while eating. After so, we decided to do fish feeding by using our excess bread. It was so amazing seeing the fish coming near you, chasing the feeds when they're in their very nice appearance! My gosh, that was ecstasy! Lol :)

To sum up our island hopping activity, we stayed there for about 2 hours and proceeded then to turtles' territory (30 minutes travel). Last was the sardines watching which was also fantastic (just prepare for a strong current though).

Oh, hey! I almost forgot to mention, we brought our tent and stayed overnight at the Moalboal public beach for free! You'll never be alone during the weekends as there are a lot of tourists who do camping as well!

Enjoy! :)
