A lot has taken place on the Mogul platform since its launch in February 2021. Mogul is a decentralized film financing company (DeFiFi) set to give movie fans, movie creators, and movie financiers an equal voice in the movie production process.

Mogul monthly recap is a monthly series highlighting major events and updates on the mogul platform. Here’s a recap of activities and updates within the mogul platform in the month of March.

Mogul’s New CEO Unveiled

The month of March kicked off with Mogul unveiling its new CEO in the person of GARCAN GREWAL. Grewal is a former co-manager of an equity firm, so obviously he has a lot of experience within his belt to pilot the great mogul ship to unimagined heights. His leadership is already yielding great results at Mogul as can be seen in the numerous partnerships the platform has achieved within a month. See below…

Major Partnerships

Lots of partnerships were secured in the just concluded month, thanks to the dynamic team at Mogul. The partnerships secured in the past month include the following:

A partnership with Biconomy
Mogul made a strategic partnership with Biconomy that aims at onboarding the film industry and general public to Blockchain. The biconomy infrastructure will facilitate an easy onboarding of new users and enhance a smooth and easy experience on Blockchain with or without prior knowledge about the blockchain technology. This is a unique partnership that will, among other things, allow free transactions, instant onboarding, web2 user experience in web3 environment, a potential for cross-chain interoperability, etc. Read the full news here.

Partnership With Digital Artist, Rob Prior
Mogul sealed partnership with famed Marvel and D.C. Comics artist, Rob Prior, to create a film-inspired non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This will go on to be auctioned on the DeFiFi platform.

Partnership With GeoMercury
Also, Mogul did not miss out in partnering with GeoMercury. They will support customer acquisition and retention through gamification especially by utilizing Mogul’s non-fungible tokens.

Partnership With CrooGloo
Croogloo has been contracted to work with Mogul as the vendor to manage production documentation. This will ensure compliance and bring transparency to the mogul platform as they connect all off-chain data sources of Mogul to allow Mogul oversee the finances of its productions.

These partnerships are all in addition to Mogul’s previous partnerships with 0xpolygon that will help to foster a smooth and seamless user experience and also with Chainlink oracle to help in a fair distribution of rewards to its users, among numerous other partnerships.

GIVEAWAYS

A giveaway of “The Filmmaker’s Journal” came from one of Mogul’s partners, Mike Miller, to community members. The journal is a 90-day productivity guide to help newbies in their journey into the world of films.

AMAs

Mogul never ceases to let the world know the amazing project they are about to roll out. Mogul is ever educating its users and potential users on the privileges they stand to gain on the platform. This took the form of numerous AMAs both within and outside the Mogul telegram community. Let’s look at some notable AMA events in the past month.

  • Aditya, Khanduri, head of marketing at Biconomy was hosted as a special AMA guest at the mogul telegram community. He briefed the community on Bicabony’s partnership with Mogul and their plans to ensure a seamless blockchain experience for all users on the platform. You can view the session here.
  • Mogul hosted celebrity, James Pratt, a movie actor, director, and producer. He is also the host of “Mogul Live”. During the AMA, Pratt talked his journey with Mogul productions and his thoughts on the project. He gave a glimpse into his latest work, Malibu Crush, among other things.
  • Arjun Kalsy from 0xpolygon was another AMA guest at the Mogul Telegram chat. He elaborated on the many benefits polygon would bring to Mogul platform such frictionless, swift, and low-cost transactions, etc.
  • Mogul had series of AMAs with external communities on telegram such as Q&A Community, Crypto Royals Community, Ama Lovers Club, as well as with the Chinese community on wechat. The team talked about many things at these sessions from the conception of the project, to current progress and future projections.

Mogul’s Smart Contract Audit Report Release

Mogul reported a successful auditing of its smart contract by Zokyo. This greenlit the project ahead of its access pass sales

Access Pass Sales Launch

The most impactful event in March was the launch of Mogul Access Pass Sales which opened first to early birds for purchase of tiered access passes, and the general sales that includes Top-Up alongside the tiered passes. The early birds sales opened from 10th to 23rd March, while the general sales runs from 25th March to 15th April 2021, having been extended by one week. Read about the sales here

Launch Of Mogul Troop

Mogul also announced last month the launch of its Ambassador Program, the Mogul Troops. By being a Mogul Troop member, individuals contribute to the platform through active participation in the community, building engagements, and mentoring others across various social media platforms. As a reward, troop members get exclusive access to team events, rewards in the form of STARS token, Mogul Ambassadors NFTs, etc! Visit here for more information on the program

Introduction Of Early Adopter Distribution Program

This was introduced last month to aid the distribution of STARS token to early community members so that no one gets left out. In case you're wondering what's about, 200k STARS will be distributed to 10,000 lucky users using a raffle system! This program became popular among users that the team had to extend its running time till April 8th and also double the amount of rewards! Cool, right? Community Growth

Red Carpet Access Pass sell out completely within a few days, but the platform also witnessed rapid growth in userbase both on the website and telegram. Mogul recorded over 30,000 signups on the site and the telegram community grew to nearly 20,000 members, all within a bit over a month of launch! Incredible! This massive growth is an indication that more and more people are becoming aware of the opportunities that abound at mogul.
