No matter how much india has progressed but we can't deny the fact that girls & womens face sexual harrassment on a daily basis.
Even if they report, police who are supposed to take action, dont seem to give a damn about their safety.
Just a few days after pooja nair's story of man mastrubating at her which also went viral. She claimed that when she approached the railway helpline, The person attending her call laughed off and hung up on her.
Another incident of a similar nature cropped up. isha chitnis, 20, a mumbaiker, shared her harrowing experience of how a man mastrubated at her and her friend at cst station, Mumbai.
the incident took place on 29th of june'17,
when they reached the station at 5:45am to board the tapovan express which was about to depart at 6:15AM, they saw a guy shamelessly mastrubating. they were in utter disbelief about what they witnessed, It doesn't end here. so she left and started looking around for the police officer. she was redirected twice and finally reached the platforms where the locals run from, Where there is a police desk. and she showed them the video which she recorded for evidence, Which seemed to not affect the police at all. they told her to find a office near their platform, and then she explained them that there wasn't one. then the police officer grudgingly agreed to go with them and he was strolling like no sense of urgency. When they reached to the coach, they saw the perpetrator run into the next coach and escape the scene. HE KNEW HE DID SOMETHING WRONG. The police officer didn't see him, because the man had freaked out and run away. I pointed in his direction to the police official, He just said, "That guy must also have a reservation. Go find a place to sit elsewhere," And walked away. without taking any ACTION
