While browsing the forums at bitcointalk.org I stumbled upon a new crypto popping up....

It seems as though the Monero coin may have been used by at least one member of the Monero team to short their own coin. Most fingers are pointing at FluffyPonyza, and posts are starting to show up on Reddit
"The moment you've been waiting for! Here is tonight's massive, game-changing, earth-shattering Monero announcement:" which was this youtube video
With the quotes "anyone who believed this was real and got excited should stick to scams"
Riccardo Spagni, AKA, fluffyponyza then posted on the Monero Twitter....
The fake announcement is seen by quite a few as a way for them to profit off of their own coin...
The subreddit post has a flurry of people posting about it...
What kind of impact does this have on the future of Monero if anything?
