I think the Chinese government is the only one able to take long term investment decision and action. They have invest to produce 98 % of solar panels production. I am sure the Chinese government is wise enough not to collapse the US economy which is their main customer. But they will certainly make it weaker, which is not very difficult with such a president as Trump. USA is able to collapse itself alone. You cannot invade a country of 1 billion inhabitants which own the atomic bomb, even with the strongest army in the world. I would guess China will continue to buy America piece by piece, they need more land for agriculture.

That is unfortunately true, @chrisaiki. USA simply cannot stand the situation where they are not “indispensable” nation any more. And they are huffing and puffing with their irrelevant military power, while China is building a world wide infrastructure (One Belt, one road, Power Grid connected with renewable sources, Quantum communications…) which will make them truly indispensable.
