The idea of using 51% attacks as part of the upgrade process is a bit disconcerting but I think you're probably right about how long it'll take the law to cover this type of technology.

Thanks @edgeland, the 51% attack is definately a hot topic. if you think of it in terms of political campaigns, if a minority wishes to breakaway from the main ruling party and create their own, it would most likely be unconstitional to prevent them through methods of force.
