If you've followed me for a while or perhaps well-read about all things in cryptosphere, you know that the Vice Industry network was supposed to launch sometime in this summer.
For those not in the know, Vice is a softfork of the Steem network, with the major difference being that Vice is meant for adult content. The main mechanics are similar - authors get paid, voting in the content is also rewarded, just like on Steem network. Voting, or curating as some like to call it, and earning a part of the rewards is what the Vice team calls "get paid to watch porn".

On Steem, whales voting on content make a decent amount of money just by curation and nothing else. So the bigger stake you have, the more you will earn.
The beauty of this is - if you do not want to watch content, you do not have to. Voting on it is enough, but being a part of the largest business in the world might make you a decent amount on money. Everyone loves money, right?

With work and the beautiful summer days taking away all free time, the launch date has somehow suddenly creeped up on us. The launch of the VIT mainnet is scheduled for Juna 28th, which is just 6 days away.
A few days ago I managed to catch Stuart Duncan, the CEO of VIT in their Telegram chat and they have other news as well. As the mainnet was to be launched as http://vit.tube, it is now being rebranded to touch.tube. No problem, it has a decent ring to it :)

Apparently, the team has been working hard and creating sub-projects for VIT, including legal marijuana, online gambling etc. the partnerships page has also a bit more to offer than a month ago, with Stormy Daniels and Hologirls VR entering the scene :)

So, with the launch imminent and future looking bright for money and adult movie enthusiasts, where can one obtain the Vice Industry Token?
VIT can be bought at multiple online exchanges, with the main ones being Cryptopia and HitBTC. I see most people prefer Cryptopia, but i have done all my buying on HitBTC and looking at the price at this moment, it has enjoyed a proper bear market, just like every other crypto out there. What better time to snag up some of these money-making tokens?
At the moment, VIT is an ERC-20 proxy token, that will be exchanged for the real token, once the mainnet is live. The details on that are still not clear, on how the exchange will be done, so pay attention to their Telegram group chat.

This really ought to be a game-changer in their chosen markets. I'd perhaps worry theyre biting off more than they can chew with their multiple market approach though. Decent gambling sites are huge in their complexity but of course, I don't know their team.
As an investment ?
I'm not sure, they could recieve a lot of unwanted attention which would make me, as an investor, nervy and on top of this, I wouldn't invest in porn. There are a lot of ethical issues there I'm not comfortable with.

Morning bro! All valid points. Luckily i don't have ethical issues with investing in porn as i like beautiful girls, sex and money, unless there is somehting sketchy about it.
Tbh, i'm a bit worried that they are trying to bite a too big chunk, too, but as the launch is getting closer, we'll see soon.
Unfortunately there is too little information about out there, so my biggest fear is that it will be too centralized.
The thing about gambling and blockchain technology is thats a perfect fit for companies like betfair who are basically offering markets where their users are pitting their wits against each other. Its kind of like pure decentalisation in its natural state as each user is basically their own node. The same could be said of course for any type of exchange.
If someone could replicate Betfair using a blockchain to handle the financial transactions......
