Conviction: utter failure or generational success?

Yesterday was pay day on Twitter and a guy earned $22k. So the back story was that his monetization was paused for over 8 months, either because of something he did that didn't sit well with the platform, offer some unknown reasons.

However he didn't appeal, he just went about tweeting and continuing whatever he was previously doing, and after 8 months X paid. They accumulated all his activities for 8 months and paid him for it.

Although he was an already established big user, the moral of the story is that, the man continued what he was actually doing, not knowing whether it is going to pay off or not.

See, this is uncertainty.

When it comes to effort and time, we are always weary of where we channel it. Time means a lot to us and that is because when it is wasted, it is never recovered, this is why nobody wants to ever risk wasting time.

However in the 21st century and in 2026 it is almost inevitable not to waste time. There are no guarantees that everything will do will yield dividends.

From building a YouTube channel, learning about crypto or building monetization for Facebook, there are a lot of uncertainties. For example, 100 people might try but only about 10 may succeed. When the success rate of an endeavor is reduced,

This is not to blame anyone for not wanting to waste time.

.In 2026 people can no longer afford to fail too much, because of the financial consequences that comes with it. Back in the day we had the poor, the middle and the rich, but today we only have the rich and the poor and inflation is the major cause of this.

In 2024 I wasted my time trying so many endeavors, I wasted all 12 months, and the reason is because I never achieved anything financially, but I gained knowledge and experience.

However We don't count knowledge and experience because they are not a primary proof of success, nobody wants to waste time gathering knowledge and experience without having an end products for it, and this is where we have a problem.

On the other hand this person who made $22k had a secret

He was already monetized and earning some money on the platform, but as his account blew up he began getting endorsement and product deals.

He has over 600k followers and even though the monetization he end was already paused, there was no way he was going to quit using his account, especially because of the ambassadorial deals he was already getting which amounted to some good morning.

So this is not a complete mindless motivation post.

Some reasons why some people never quit is because they had already established a foundation of success, enable when they began to fail after this establishment they can still continue because they already have something to fall back on.

However we cannot underrate a story of consistency which eventually yielded some massive dividends.

Hive

Take a look at Hive at the moment, a lot of people are not posting anymore, this isn't because of downvotes or anything, it is simply because the market is on certain and the reward for creating content is currently not worth it.

Also there is no certainty that there will be a big price bounce, which is also another big indicator that it might all be a waste of time.

However a lot of people are still here; creating, adding value, posting and showing up. In a few years time it may look like these people are very lucky, especially if the market decides to pump.

However this is always the reward for consistency when there is uncertainty. In the process of not wanting to waste time, we either save ourselves or lose opportunities. This is why conviction can bring you utter failure or generational success.

Sort:

It has always been like this, when the price is low, people stop posting and when price goes up, you will them spamming to cover up for their inactivity… and those who make the real money are those who don’t need the money to survive. Cos people who need it sells before pump

You're right, people who try to spam when price is up will never make it lol. This is just the game, people don't understand that you have to actually accumulate without selling to have enough when the market finally pumps

That is just how things are, and that is why the best time to make content is during periods like this. I still think Hive can bounce back if they solve some of the underlying issues, and those that stick around will see the rewards then.

Yes. We need to fix the underlying issue. All we see is ridiculous proposals everyday with almost nothing to offer. No one is manning the DHF, just pure exploitations everyday.
