Nice post and perspective. My only concern is that we as humanity are not ready yet for such fundamental changes. Hope I'm maybe to pessimistic.

I think as we see more crypto millionaires we also need to make sure the balance is right with the spiritual side. Money can give you so much materialistic gains but a lack of life fullfillment. One of my ambitions here is to spread awarness about energy therapy and how it can help people. If people were taught things like this in school along with a more positive view on money then there relationship with money would be a lot more harmonious.

Wow!

They can directly influence social high values. Current rich class will lose it's influence on determining symbols and lifestyles of having a great wealth. They will not be connected to capitalist corporations and therefore free from obligations on promoting capitalism as the only true social system and value. I'm enjoying where this all goes..We are witnessing a birth of new society in a timespan of 10 to 20 years!

Great post!

I have also been thinking about this for quite a while and, as the experience has showed me, many have now the potential to become steward of a new form of self-governance while slowly but surely flattening the curve of inequality between humans and giving economical strength to potentially sustainable projects/businesses. Right away, Vivaconomy, and Bitshares, EOS, HERO and Steem itself are nomuental example of this, especially if one is to look into who are the ones involved in the making, supporting and investing into these while keeping an eye on what projects they are sustaining and building based on these revolutionary technologies.

An excellent piece of writing, thank you so very much for sharing and namaste :)

Very interesting point of view. It would be nice if you are right.

Whether i'm right or not is completely up to you...

I and many other may embody such a philosophy our actions, which could prove the perspective right - though if you choose to focus on other perspectives that deem it wrong because it doesnt conform to your ideal context, you could declare it wrong.

Meanwhile, it doesn't matter what the fuck I or anyone else does, if you embody the philosophy and prove it right through your own action... ;-)

While social media has caused some bad characteristics in our society one good thing it has done is keep most of use connected. When you are connected to your old friends it is harder to convince yourself that it is ok to step on the little guy to get ahead (if he doesnt want to be stepped on he should make something of himself like me).

This accountability i think will make this generation more compassionate, therefore as most of the newly minted crypto millionaires are of this generation I think you are right we may see a different class of rich people.

An excellent sentiment, I like the idea of stewardship for wealth. I find the idea of just accumulating wealth above a certain level to be vaguely repulsive. I do want to live in luxury, though.

For future reference, keep this information somewhere handy. I enjoyed reading your essay on wealth. I'm learning too that there are many different ways of looking at it, and some new responsibilities. Also, have you heard of the VIVA project? I think you would find some overlap there with your views. Check out the VIVA tag on Steemit to learn more about it.

Thank you for the great piece @rok-sivante ! I very much like your stance on wealth creation, and the responsibility element behind it that you highlight. I wanna stress the first part of your post, where you are talking about people holding negative emotions against money and wealth. I see one of the immediate reasons for this being that money has more or less been equated to 'breathing air' for the majority of people on the planet because, let's face it, most people day-in day-out face hardship and struggle to make ends meet (and of course that's where crypto-investing could help myriads of people change their situation). But the problem is that, again the vast majority of people, do not engage with investing whatsoever, and additionally have no idea about the crypto space anyway (it's our job to fix that). And the issue here is the values and education that our society has with respect to money and its use; the majority of people go about purchasing goods or services, or even worse liabilities, with the spare money that they get in their pocket, instead of acquiring assets that give them passive income streams. There is a short-term gratification element here as well as a tendency to 'show-off' to other people, a by-product of our commercialized and consumeristic society. And because the current approach taken by most people, along with the rules of the game in our capitalist economic systems, ends up putting them deeper in the hole, despite all their hard work, they end up hating money.
Should we be ok with this status quo? Is it a zero-sum game and inevitably most people will be at loss (because of their values, approach or situation) and we should be ok with that (putting people at fault for not educating themselves properly and having higher aspirations and being smarter)? Or should we be actively trying to change this and level the playing field? Perhaps trying to give equal opportunities to everyone, in terms of education, knowledge and means of participating in wealth creation mechanisms, is enough (and the crypto space is all about this). Or is it enough? Because having met thousands and thousands of different people in my lifetime (in both Greece and the US), I only know ONE other person outside my extended family who has invested in cryptocurrencies (hopefully this will soon change as I am heavily hustling my close friends to also participate). One of my passions is trading and investing and no matter how often I talk to different people from all walks of life about it, people who are not familiar with the subjects, and try to pursuade them and guide them on how to also do this (because I firmly believe that everyone should be investing, no matter how small an amount they can invest) still very very few people actually get back to learn more and engage, to the point where I'm standing here thinking that they are just silly and I'm wasting my time, and anyone who is smart enough to take actionable steps to change their lifes and make smart decisions, well they will do it anyway without my help.
What's your take on this? Have you also faced the same disappointment when trying to open the eyes of people, and have them change their practices? Or is it a lost cause and we should just focus on bettering our families' condition and securing ourselves financially. Curious to hear your experience here.
Thanks again for the awesome post.

*P.S: I left you a comment on your "Purpose: Destiny, Delusion, And The Discovery Of Truth..." post which I think you would find interesting, also trying to connect with you. Was a little disheartened not to see a response, but I'm sure you just missed it, so no biggie. Anyway, thanks for your great work man, always enjoying reading your work!

"Should we be ok with this status quo? Is it a zero-sum game and inevitably most people will be at loss (because of their values, approach or situation) and we should be ok with that (putting people at fault for not educating themselves properly and having higher aspirations and being smarter)? "

"Should" is a tricky word, as the question alone is invalid without a set context and the presupposition that there is an agreed upon desired out - i.e. IF a certain desired outcome is to be achieved, then one should take a certain step to achieve it. But without the clearly defined context - and in and of itself, NO. But, people are used to thinking in binary right/wrong. Truth is, there is no right/wrong except for within the boundaries of a given belief system or game with certain rulesets...

Anyone who tried to tell you that you should be ok or not ok with someone is full of bullshit, because they are directly trying to impose their belief system on you. So, I could say yes, we should be ok... but who am I to declare what your belief system should be? It's an override of your body that damages us both and deprives you of the opportunity to think for yourself to discover truth - which continuously evolves.

To a degree, yes - individuals are responsible for not educating themselves and having higher aspirations. Not to say they're "at fault" - because then again, we'd be imposing our beliefs that their state is inferior and flawed relative tou our ideals. And that view that they're responsible for themselves may be partially true in some contexts, though not as an absolute. i.e. pretty much everyone has access to the internet nowadays and can pursue their own path of learning if they really want to better their lives. Though at the same time, not everyone is equipped with the activated intelligence or ambition to direct their time and energy constructively in directions that would generate their preferred outcomes - this might sometimes get blamed on genetics, which is essentially just coding - and if they have no fucking clue how to rewrite some of their coding disabling them from ascending, well, they might be kinda fucked no matter how hard they try. So in that sense, it'd not be their fault - it's nobody's fault, really - just the state of things in evolution, and not something that we might be in a wise position to intervene with in every case.

"What's your take on this? Have you also faced the same disappointment when trying to open the eyes of people, and have them change their practices?"

Earlier years ago, kind of. Though, I was alot more immature then, somewhat self-righteous, wanting to impose my ideals onto others and the world so it/they fit my idealized image.

That saying, "you can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink..." disappointment only comes from unfulfilled expectations, thwarted intentions, or undelivered communications (reference: Landmark Forum). If you're "trying to have people change their practices" - again, it's an override on their bodies. Against the laws of nature. The disappointment there is cuz you're trying to shove water down the horse's throat expecting it to drink because you think it should. If a person wants to change their practices and invites counsel, you might be able to effectively guide them - though hoping they'll change with any sort of attachment is always a losing situation for both, and you'll always end up disappointed because of the expectation itself that they'll live according to your belief system.

Great answer, thanks for giving me your view and opinion (for me to freely do with whatever I choose to, as you posit). I agree that my disappointment stems from my expectations - had they not been there, it would have left me untouched. I tend to forget this, and will remember moving forward. Our individual belief system coming into play here when it comes to our view about the status quo, in effect has to do with the interplay between our idealistic view of how things could be versus a pragmatic take on reality, and we would be left in pain if we settled on one side of the spectrum, and perhaps even cynicism on the other side. I know I will continue to try to educate and help as many people as possible when it comes to these issues, of course not trying to shovel down their throat what I think they should be doing, yet again a little push out of care atop of a mere friendly recommendation could go a long way.
Thanks again for engaging @rok-sivante. A pleasure hearing your thoughts.

"We are investing in ideas.

We are investing in projects.

We are investing in people."

"We" are steemit. How cool is that.!!

I believe that once 3d printed houses/cars come online the wealth paradigm will change. When you can print a super sports car for $1000 the illusion of rich/poor will start to dissipate. In truth all people can create their own currency. This will be an important lesson that all people will eventually learn.

Nice article. Some interesting and good thoughts in there. Resteemed.

interesting article Rok, well written and thoughful. Each successive wave of economic innovation creates a new vein of wealth. At least those people are switched on have earned their freedon rather than been born into it.

I think those that make it tend to have more responsibility and understanding of not having than those who inherit wealth so I applaud our new young bucanneers.

Sadly many in the millennial generation are so focused on being rich that they mostly fail to understand the concept of freedom and continue to become well heeled consumerist slaves just buying more shit they don't need and using up more resources, they're philosophically not actually entitled to more than any other human !

I do hope you do something better with your new found wealth than buy endless expensive garbage :) start a foundation or something co-operative ?

p.s may I suggest you get an electric car instead of the Porsche... & please never forget the concept of 'what would my mom think?'

Christos

"Each successive wave of economic innovation creates a new vein of wealth."

I like this concept, as well as the rest of the way you think.

re: foundation or co-op... possible. probably.

ha ha ha... I'm pretty sure we'll also be getting a Tesla later on, though my heart is quite firmly set on a Porsche at this point. :-)

Thanks Man, I appreciate the fact that you've taken the time to put your thought together.. a 2019 model electric porsche.. will be a lot faster too !

Very good topic and read, thank you.

There's gonna be plenty Crypto-Millionaires indeed ...

All these thoughts are some that I wrestle with too. Thanks for taking the time to put them into words and to try and explain why we do what we do. It's appreciated.

your welcome, as is your feedback.

Great read! Cryptocurrency is changing many lives and providing a lot of oppurtunity.I just finished an article that I will be posting tonight about how cryptocurrency is experiencing financialization. Many of these early investments could very well make people, especially early adopters, very wealthy.

I'm enjoying reading the thoughts of good minds exploring this new dimension. :-)

Clearly, money is only a tool. There are good tools and bad tools, tools good for this job but bad for another. That makes money morally impotent.

Just like with a knife, it is up to the craftsmen wielding it what to do with it, whether to butter a slice of bread to feed a hungry fellow human or whether to slay him with it.

If money is energy, and wealth is power (P = E/t), along with it goes responsibility. May the noveau crypto-riche wield their power responsibly, to the benefit of all humans, and butter many a slice of bread – spiritually and, in the long run, physically.

You're right and you stated it nicely. There's more to this than riches; it's also about changing the world for the better.

Great post! You are so right about " investing in people". The right people can make or break a project. What are the top 10 cryptos to invest in long term in your (and your commenters) opinion? How about any worthwhile penny cryptos? Thanks for your advice! Adam.
Upvoted, resteemed and followed!

Top 4...

Ethereum, Bitcoin, Steem, Bitshares.

Next 6, but not heavily invested or strongly morally supportive to the same extent: singularDTV, Namecoin, Aragon One, Dash, Tauchain, Golem/iex.ec

Wow thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with me. Really very much appreciated. Adam.

Great read! Ready for the shift

Now THIS is the kind of high quality content that is great for Steemit. Great writing & I agree entirely, I've had to wrestle with the same issues around money, I think it's ingrained in many cultures.

interesting points you have there. sometimes cryptos is more than just about profits

Great article. We obviously need to build mutually beneficial relationships as we go through life. I've been getting out and going to more conferences the last 5 years; before that, I always thought I could just learn online or read a book - but that leaves out the people element.

interesting read
