The First Man.

Some men came to his car dealership shop, priced a car and they agreed on 5 million naira. After a few hours, he received three million naira alert. They said that is all the buyer could afford. He was angry. They begged him to relax and take five hundred thousand Naira as compensation for time wasted. He was happy, gave them the balance of 2.5 million naira and they left. Few days later, SARS operatives stormed his shop and arrest him for kidnapping. His account was used to receive kidnap ransom. Right now he is in deep shit.

The Second Man

A guy walked into his shop and started pricing a car. They agreed on 2.5 million. The guy told him to wait for an alert. He waited for a while before receiving an alert of five hundred thousand naira. The guy was livid and called the sender on phone and was asking why he sent only 500k. After arguing for a while, he begged the man not to be angry for time wasted and demanded for the money. He asked the guy to take 50k and give him 450k. The guy refused and insisted on sending the money back to the sender. The guy left in anger. He went to the bank the next morning and sent the money to the man that did the transfer to him. On top of the teller, he narrated what happened. Few minutes after getting to his shop, he was accosted by SARS operatives and was whisked away for kidnapping. He narrated what happened, they took him to the bank and the teller was fished out. That was his saving grace.

The difference between these two men is greed. While the first man received money he didn't work for, the other declined it and became suspicious of the guy. Sending back that money was his saving grace, as it showed that he was not part of the gang.

Let's be wise in whatever we do.
