Dried flower stalks and calyces of Senecio tamoides, all that's left of all the cheerful yellow flowers blooming 3 months ago. I know our winters barely cut it by Northern hemisphere standards but they are still drab and miserable and brown and look better in monochrome

Drystuff! <3 :)
Ohhh My Cotyledon is blooming! Must take photos before they are gone :)
Do!
@nikv you were flagged by a worthless gang of trolls, so, I gave you an upvote to counteract it! Enjoy!!
Appreciate the gesture, I have gotten used to the pointless daily downvote from accounts with no SP by now
I’ll take monochrome photographs any day. How cold does it get there? 🐓🐓
Sometimes, it gets down to freezing at night but mostly hovers around 2-5C. Days can be between 12 and 15C. It's particularly unpleasant because winter is short and our houses are built to be cool, not warm and the wind gets icy outside
Just like here. So cold feels extreme because we are better prepared for the heat. I think you actually have warmer winters or than we do. It doesn’t last for long. 🐓🐓
I think this is a really artistic photo, love it in black and white.
Thank you!
Will you plant these seeds later?
It turned out an interesting photo.
Thank you, I thought so too. I won't plant any seeds, the bush grows big enough on it's own and I will have to trim it quite a bit
:-)
Saving fennel seed for fall sowing. The flower umbels have dried on the plant, and we are separating them from the stalks.
Fennel seeds are interesting-looking
they are beautiful
I thought so

Winter in Canada. One snowfall with over 2 feet of snow. However, we are used to it. Your winter with housing meant for hotter weather must feel as cold.
Pretty much, we don't have proper clothing either. Europeans who are used to snow come here and say that our winters feel worse to them
I grew up in an area of Canada that has winter temperatures sometimes lower than those found on Mars. When I moved to my present location I found the winters oh so mild but after several years here I have been known to complain bitterly about the cold. Spring is temperamental with temperatures varying back and forth from bitingly cold to warm and wet. Summer is short and often extremely hot (in my opinion). Autumn is easily the nicest time with temps that are warm and drier. Winter starts anywhere from October to December but usually sometime in November and lasts pretty much up until mid May.
Canadian weather is awful, by all accounts. I have no idea how you all survive like that
