It was horrific, yes. But no different from other treatment we received in Morocco from both citizens and officials. Parts of Moroco may be lovely and filled with lovely, gracious people. I don't know. I didn't see them. The parts I saw showed me only that Morocco is a nasty country filled with people who have nasty temperaments, and as hard as I tried to find the good in it, I can't say I recommend it as a tourism destination for anyone.

I think your situation was AWFUL...but to take your situation and say you would not recommend it as a tourist destination is not quite fair. You obviously lived there as you had 6 dogs with you, unless you were there as a tourist and collected them. Morocco is NOT a nasty country nor are the people. Yes, may be those at RAM need a lesson in customer service but to say a country as a hold is "nasty" is grossly misrepresented. I have had worse treatment at JFK airport on TAP airlines. Lastly, it is a known fact that porters in Morocco work on tips. If your partner slipped them 20dhr they would have been happy. Again, sorry this happened to you.
Have a look at some vignettes of my experience in Morocco. It's kind of hard for me to find a better word than "nasty" for how these people behave--routinely, in public, and without shame.
