لأهرامات مصر القديمة أحد عجائب الدنيا السبع ، ظلت على مدار العصور شاهقة البنيان تتحدى الزمن ، كأنها تسطر سفر الخلود وتبقى ماثلة للعيان لتشهد بعظمتها العقول والأذهان. لقد عرفناها أخيرا مراصد فلكية للقدماء وعرفنا الكثير من أسرارها وما حوته من العجائب والخواص الهندسية والمعمارية ، وغيرها من العجائب فالأهرامات لم تكن مجرد مقابر للملوك ، إنما بناها الفراعنة لاسباب دينية ، وبمقاييس حسابية وهندسية خاصة ووفقا لمقاييس واعتبارات فلكية ترتبط إلى حد بعيد بالعقائد الدينية للفراعنة عموما ، وبالعقيدة النجمية خصوصا. لقد اكتشف علماء الفلك الأثرى أخيرا أن الأهرامات قد بنيت على نسق خاص يتطابق تماما مع نفس النسق الذي تتوزع به مجموعه نجمية معينه في السماء، وأنها موزعه على هضبة الجيزة بنفس النظام الدقيق الذي لا يكاد ينحرف قيد أنمله عن حزام اوريون النجمي في مجموعه نجوم اوريون. وعلى الرغم من اكتشاف علماء الفلك الأثرى وعلماء الآثار في الشرق والغرب لكثير من أسرار الأهرامات ، إلا أن هذه الأهرامات ظلت ولا تزال من اعظم الشواهد على عظمة المصري القديم وحضارته الخالدة ولا زالت تعتبر لغزا من الألغاز التي حيرت العلماء وادهشتهم ، اذ أنها لا زالت تطرح على العقول الكثير من الأسئلة المعجزة منها على سبيل المثال :كيف أمكن للإنسان القديم في العصر الحجري أن يبني مثل هذه الصروح الشاهقة بمثل هذه المقاييس الهندسية المعجزة. وكيف نقلوا هذه الأحجار الضخمة التي تزن عشرات الأطنان لمسافات طويلة من أسوان إلى الجيزة ؟ ثم قطعوها ونشرها وهذبوها ؟ ثم كيف تكنوا من رفعها ووضعها في مكانها دون أدنى خطا في المقاييس الهندسية والزوايا الدقيقة التي صممت الأهرامات على أساسها.
