Labor Day
Work is the effort made by man to produce a commodity, or to provide a service, and to work as a major component of production, and as the development of production increases the prosperity of the country and its progress, the appreciation of the international community for the worker's efforts in various productive sectors was agreed globally on the 1/5 of each General A day to celebrate this occasion in honor of him and in recognition of his beauty.

العمل هو الجهد الذي يبذله الإنسان من أجل إنتاج سلعةٍ، أو تقديم خدمةٍ، والعمل عنصر رئيسي من عناصر الإنتاج، وكلما تطوّر الإنتاج زاد ازدهار الدولة وتقدمها، فتقديراً من المجتمع الدولي لجهود العامل بمختلف القطاعات الإنتاجية تم الاتفاق عالمياً على تحديد يوم 1/5 من كل عام يوماً للاحتفال بهذه المناسبة تكريماً له واعترافاً بجميله. في اليوم الأول من شهر مايو من كل عام يحتفل العالم بعيد العمال، والأردن على سبيل المثال من دول العالم التي تبادر في تقدير كل جهد يبذل لبناء قطاع الإنتاج تحتفل بهذه المناسبة على مستوى الوطن باحتفالٍ عامٍ برعاية ملكيةٍ ساميةٍ، ويتمّ تكريم عدد من العمال الذين تميزوا بعملهم عرفاناً من المجتمع الأردني لهذه الجهود. لقد حث الدين الإسلامي على العمل وجعله بمنزلة العبادة، إذ يؤجر العامل المخلص بعمله والأمين عليه، فقال تعالى بكتابه العزيز: "هو الذي جعل لكم الأرض ذَلولاً فامشوا في مناكبها وكلوا من رزقه وإليه النشور" صدق الله العظيم، فهذه دعوةٌ للمسلم للعمل وتحصيل رزقه بتعبه وجهده. إنّ هذا العامل الذي يكدّ ويتعب طيلة العام بهدف كسب رزقه يستحق منا كل تقديرٍ واحترامٍ، فمن واجبنا أن نقدّر جهده ونحتفل به ونشجعه على بذل المزيد من الجهد لنرتقي باقتصاد بلدنا، فالعامل عنصرٌ مهمٌ في سلسلة حلقات الإنتاج، وتشجيعنا له وتقديرنا لعمله يعطيه الثقة بنفسه وبعمله أكثر ويحثّه على بذل المزيد من جهده. لقد سعت أغلب الحكومات إلى توفير الكثير من مستلزمات دعم العمال، وتحقيق الأمن الوظيفي لهم من خلال المؤسسات التي ترعاهم، وتحفظ لهم حقوقهم، كما توجد للعمال نقابات في كثير من الدول، وينتخب العمال ممثليهم بكلّ حريةٍ وديمقراطيةٍ، مهمة هذه النقابة حماية حقوق العامل والمشاركة مع المؤسسات التشريعية الأخرى للوقوف على التشريعات والقوانين التي تخصّ العمال. كما توفر الكثير الدول مراكز التدريب والتطوير من أجل رفع مستوى المعرفة عند العامل، وزيادة مهاراته بمختلف أنواع المهن والأعمال، فالعامل المتعلّم المدرَّب جيداً يساهم في الإنتاج بنسبة أكبر، فيمارس عمله بعلمٍ به الأمر الذي يجعل إنتاجه أكثر جودةً، وبأقل التكاليف خاصة وأن باب التنافس بين الشركات والمؤسسات المنتجة للسلع يستوجب تطوير مهارات العمال، وزيادة معرفتهم بواجباتهم، وحقوقهم. فكلما تحققت حياة كريمة للعامل زاد نشاطه وحبه لعمله، فرقيّ الدولة يتم من خلال احترام وتقدير جهود عمالها، فبارك الله بكل جهدِ مخلصٍ أمين، يساهم في بناء بلده بإخلاصٍ وحبٍ.
