RE: Can Your Writing Change the World?

in #motivation3 years ago

I really enjoyed this piece and it motivated me to give myself a break and just write. There are always revisions. And the avant-garde poetry I write is important. Even if it’s only important to me. Little by little I am honing something. We’ll see, but in order to see I must continue. A great read at just the right time.

One thing that I feel is important about writing is that every time you write you make yourself more of the person that you want yourself to be. That's not always great if you're in terrible shape, but generally being motivated to write is a sign that there's something alright there that should be fostered (rare exceptions like Sylvia Plath aside).

I've certainly done my fair share of writing for an audience of myself, and while I don't know that I want to make a habit of it (outside the realm of practicing and self-assessing so that I avoid certain mistakes in my other writing), it's something that has helped me.

Awe. I like Sylvia Plath. Lol. But point taken. Writing is always there. I just need to pick up the pen.

I mean, her talent is clear. There are just somethings you don't want to focus on too much.

That is very true. Not the best spiritual energy, and it came with a high price tag.
