Marriage as an achievement, Yay! Or Nay!

Often times, There’s a misconception about Marriage been considered as an achievement.
Marriage which is a Special Institution visibly ordained by God primarily for Companionship has seemly become a Charade on Clef to some persons. As little or no importance is been given to the said institution.
A lot has been thrown out of proportion as people tend to focus more on Career Pursuit and other means of sustaining the family line.

In our dispensation today, marriage has no stand in the Success ladder. People don't equate a good marriage as part of being successful. But what they don't know is that a Broken home", has a Psychological effect that can pull you off the success ladder just like a hurricane if you're not on a conscious watch.
Your Academic qualifications and well-paid job are all streamlined as an achievement. They are all something you work hard for.

Marriage is hard work. Building a home with a total stranger is hard work especially when Sacrifices and compromises are practically aligned with it. And yes, a good marriage should be considered an achievement. What would you think of a man who grew up seeing his relatives all gone down the "Broken home saga”?

Upon seeing those traumatizing years of theirs, he definitely might have had a prolonged Phobia as regard the institution. So he made a resolution never to get himself involved in anything that has to do with Nuptials.

Well, as the year progressed, he felt there’s a need for him to have a family irrespective of what the future holds. So he took a leap of faith and started his journey of marital bliss. But prior to the marriage proper, Himself and his spouse took a vehement decision on how to make their marriage work despite all odds. And boom!! They're celebrating their 25years marriage Anniversary and more to go.

Won't you rather say he has achieved on that premise?

Truth is, I won't join the Wagon of those who still think marriage can't be considered an achievement.
My submission goes thus; a good marriage is indeed an achievement.

PS: Opinion they say, is man's natural entitlement. What are your thoughts?
