Pencils make mistakes, erasers clean them. But if you observe carefully, the eraser gets smaller each time and much faster. In every career, someone is a pencil and the other an eraser. I know you will be wondering why such easy comparison of an eraser and a pencil. Let’s get human!

In whatever field you find yourself, you most probably work under someone. Even if you work for yourself, you have people who look up to you. We all are pencils. We make marks, our actions write them boldly. Don’t think too far. If life was a book, your career is definitely a page. Your actions write the story. Gladly not with pen but pencil. God in his own wisdom, knowing how we can make mistakes gave us erasers. But there is another form of the eraser I’m talking about. TRUST!

This is the kind of eraser attached to you as a pencil in every career.
Every mistake you make on that career page of your life, you hurt people. The people around you have a level TRUST in you. That is the kind of eraser you use in correcting your mistakes. Whenever you do something that breaks a trust someone had in you, recall the eraser at work. Am not saying we don’t make mistakes. It will be best if you don’t break trusts. That is to say, don’t misuse your eraser. The cleaning work of the eraser is done almost all the time. Does the eraser stay same? Trust is something we can’t play with. People will have to trust you enough to give you a lift in your career. The pencil can write a lot, but the eraser can clean very little.

Never wonder why the pencil is taller and much bigger than the eraser. It takes a lot of work and dedication to gain that needed trust to give you a breakthrough in your career. Just as the pencil has to do a lot of writing.
One mistake on the part of the pencil can mean the end of an eraser’s life. Though the eraser is always with the pencil, but it’s never called into play until a mistake is made. Take very good care of the erasers you have. You will never know when the ERASER EFFECT will mean the end of a bright career.
