How Failure can help you be more successful in steemit and personal life (2)

in #motivation6 years ago (edited)

We always look up to successful people , admire them with great respect about their successes without even knowing the pain they went through and thousands of failures they experienced.
Do you know that Tomas Edison ie the man who invented the light bulb failed a thousand times before inventing the light bulb? His words about it were: 'It was not a thousand failed attempts, it was an invention of a thousand steps'.

Furthermore, Abraham Lincoln failed many times before succeeding in winning the Presidency .

Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. Below is Lincoln's road to the White House:
• 1816 His family was forced out of their home. He had to work to support them.
• 1818 His mother died.
• 1831 Failed in business.
• 1832 Ran for state legislature - lost.
• l832 Also lost his job - wanted to go to law school but couldn't get in.
• 1833 Borrowed some money from a friend to begin a business and by the end of the year he was bankrupt. He spent the next 17 years of his life paying off this debt.
• 1834 Ran for state legislature again - won.
• 1835 Was engaged to be married, sweetheart died and his heart was broken.
• 1836 Had a total nervous breakdown and was in bed for six months.
• 1838 Sought to become speaker of the state legislature - defeated.
• 1840 Sought to become elector - defeated.
• 1843 Ran for Congress - lost.
• 1846 Ran for Congress again - this time he won - went to Washington and did a good job.
• 1848 Ran for re-election to Congress - lost.
• 1849 Sought the job of land officer in his home state - rejected.
• 1854 Ran for Senate of the United States - lost.
• 1856 Sought the Vice-Presidential nomination at his party's national convention - get less than 100 votes.
• 1858 Ran for U.S. Senate again - again he lost.
• 1860 Elected president of the United States.

These few examples should motivate us not to give up . In fact, don’t be afraid to fail because your failure can lead to your success if you learn from it and act accordingly-here are some few points:

Learn from Failure: accept your failure and learn from it without being complacent. In fact , most successful workers do learn from work (learning curve) and thus improve with time.

Keep steeming : Don’t be disappointed if you are not making it online , in crypto or steemit (for now) because nothing good comes easy, it takes time , patience, hard work , learning and optimism to succeed in this global world. I wish you all success.

Very good motivational post. It's good you remind us to never give up. Everytime we fail in one thing, make sure we learn from it and use it to our advantage for the future has a lot of obstacles and surprises for sure.

Point, I agree...thanks for your comment

I also have a lot of failure in life but in every failure I made, I learn a lot and to be honest failure humbled me and makes me a better person and a man.

Wow, what a good example. Being humble and learn from failure is a good one...I wish you more success

Hey my friend,

You know I am big Fan of you.
I would like to ask you something. Are you on discord? Don't want to ask it here :)

Hi bud, you can better reach me on steemit chat ie Charles1 or telegram -same name.

I will try to reach you on telegram :)

yes! without failure I think life is boring. We need to gain failure in order for us to know what is the right things to do and what is not. Moreover, we will not be a better person without experiencing it. It's like it is the twin of our success, you just need to know how to handle failure to eliminate depression. :)

Anyways, your post is very inspirational. :)

Point, I agree. We must learn from failure ...thanks

you are always welcome bro. :)

These are the posts that are worth much to read that serves you a lot of motivation here on the platform and in whatever you want to do in your life, the success of life is not always win, but never give up. Always have present that: "He who limps, still walks".

Amen to that...good points indeed, thanks.

No es fácil "convertir derrotas en victorias" pero los triunfadores se han especializado en hacerlo, aprender de los fracasos y levantarse siendo más fuertes que antes de caer.

It is not easy to "turn defeats into victories" but the winners have specialized in doing so, learn from failures and get up stronger than before falling.

The winners do it well indeed, I agree. Thanks for your comment

excellent, an error is a good opportunity to do better, this publication motivates me and taught me a lot, thanks for sharing, apply these experiences,

Welcome and more success

I love the book, Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.

It's so true. We always look at successful people as just being successful and wishing we could do that.

We can. you can.

You just have to be able to go through all the grueling hard work it took for that person to get there.

No one just arrives at success, that's only the time when we notice them.

But all while they were failing in the background, we never paid much attention to them.

Fail. Learn. Try again....

Very good point indeed, thanks fr your comment

hi @charles1, you are right and nothing motivates a human being more than failure. We must realize that while accepting that we failed is a virtue, living with failure is a vice. It becomes a habit. so we should find areas where we can be productive and apply ourselves.

Very good point ...living with failure is a vice and we should learn from it ...thanks

This is imformative and motivational post.Failure is the philler of success.Who fail in his life more, this people more success in his life. So,failure is not end of life.Failure is the starting point of life.

Failure is indeed the piller to success...I agree

Exactly @charles1 everyone praise the success, no one digs us about the struggle it took for the success!

That is the truth, thanks for your comment

Good motivational post. It's great you remind us to never surrender. Everytime we flop in a certain something, ensure we gain from it and utilize it further bolstering our good fortune for the future has a considerable measure of impediments and astonishments without a doubt.

Point, thanks for your comment

Without failure we will never find success. Because of failure we always learn of a success. Never give up and despair over the failures that have occurred, but learn from the failures that have occurred. A great post for an @charles motivation

Never give up indeed, keep moving forward

The only thing standing between you and your goal is the story you keep telling yourself as to why you can't achieve it. - Jordan Belfort

Point, I agree....dont stay behind...do it!!!!

The best mindset is to see it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Nice post.

Really it is an amazing article to inspire the frustrated peoples.

That is why failure is the pillar of success! Only failure can make you win in every step of your life.

Point, I agree...more success to you

@charles1 let us learn from experience, because the best teacher experience ever.

Point, I agree

You never failed until you stop retrying again. .... Never give up. Nice write up

Amen to that, I agree

if I think because there is a failure so there is success, if the failure is not there then from where the name of success ?. at the moment we are now failing to mean our future again in waiting for success, we just the first to be patient, and must try to try and try again.

Your point is great indeed..without failure, no success

Awesome post you got here. It is truly inspiring and uplifting broken spirits. Every failure must be taken as a challenge and not a defeat. Keep on fighting, hang on and improve what you are doing to be able to reach goals and become of what you want to be.

For what? what do you like about it post?

o wow you makde my day amazing writing and great content

What is good about the post?

nothing but a good pumping motivation @charles1

Great poat and very true

this kind of posts could have a profound influence on people , and would help them motivated! I've just remembered:
If you stand for nothing , you fall for anything!!

Well, after looking at my portfolio in the last weeks, I am glad that I did have the nerves to try to purchase the dips!
Just like that I am glad now, that I keep on blogging, while others didn't take the time to invest in the steem blockchain because it didn't have enough value. Without doing that I would not have the same circle of friends as I have now.

But we were talking about failure. The good thing about for instance Silicon Valley, is that there you will not be punished for trying something and failed. They will think that you will have learned from your failures and that within your next project you won't be making the same mistakes.
Here in Europe, the sentiment is different. Here once you have failed, it will be difficult to get back the reputation of the respect you had before!
And what is worse. Tried and failed, but knowing for the rest of your life that it just didn't work out or never have tried at all, regretting all your life that you didn't have the nerves to try!

excellent post dear friend @ charles1 congratulations.
I appreciate that you have shared these very motivating stories and the tips to achieve success.
I wish you a great week

Thank you, I really needed this post today.

Excellent information about Abraham Lincoln, also known as Honest Abe. Another character of him was that he walked a total of six miles to return 3 pennies that his customer was overcharged for. That was when he was working as a store clerk. During his presidency in 1863, he freed or abolished the slavery of the slaves.

oh, this is a real motivational post. I also have many failure here in steemit. first i joined a group which didnt worked out because they want us to just follow them but i want is to explore. then i was blamed for the mistakes of of my envites to our group, them i think maybe steemit is not for me. the next, my hard earned money from steemit was hacked by the money processor in my country, so maybe steemit is not a real louck for me, the next, bitcoin dropped to its lowest, so is SBD and Steem. Wow, this was a real depressing situation that leads to my in activity posting...But still I am so in love with steemit. I gave birth to a baby boy and he was named Mark Steem.

These Words are Fire "Keep steeming : Don’t be disappointed if you are not making it online , in crypto or steemit (for now) because nothing good comes easy, it takes time , patience, hard work , learning and optimism to succeed in this global world. I wish you all success.
this is typical of the law of Attraction.

Edison did not invent the light bulb, he just did a apple style: I too can make this and make people think mine are the best.

This post is so very true. We could not have come as far as we have as human beings if not for the people who did not give up. In life there will always be failures. We learn from that and we move forward. Great advice here.

Truer words were never spoken. I learn a great deal from my failures, much more than if something comes easy to me. Right on the mark. 🐓🐓

Thank you @charles1 this is exactly what i needed to hear at the moment
