Community Champions

Every society has somebody, or some set of people who are not only popular but seem have all authority invested in them. It not only happens in the animal kingdom, it is present in every human community. Just name it, in government, schools, family and even religious settings.

These people love the attention, they work hard to make sure they remain at the top even if it takes keeping the people below at the level they are.

On hive, as it became at a point on steemit, we've got the big guys. How do we recognize them. You know those guys that post and in less than an hour, they've got all the upvotes. Most times, their content is unimpressive. You recognize them as the guys who come to your post looking for errors and how to flag them. They are the guys just looking for ways to make you quit blogging on hive.

Well, it's working. Many of us are getting discouraged and there seem to be no saviour.

The main reason people are blogging on hive, making time to research and edit their content isn't necessary because of their love for blogging. You could do it on your personal website where you have more control over your content presentation.

Many of the people blogging are from underdeveloped nations, usually characterized with low minimum wage. We've got jobs, we are students, we have large families, so blogging on hive is a second hustle.

So why don't you all try understand and help the minnows. I know the big fishes feed on the small. If you do that, we just loose hope and quit.
I know many of you all will see this post and probably ignore, we'll it's not the first time you are doing it. The most important thing is that a message has been passed across, one that many are afraid of saying for the fear of being attacked.

Please try and appreciate good contents. Don't just pump upvotes to some specific people, the amount of hive I see on some post of certain people is depressing.

Please, comment on posts and tell what is wrong in the contents. Give encouragement, and go give hope that we have a place in this platform.

Thank you!
