Let me dwell little on this...
I was in a discourse with some great men yesterday and we were talking about some prevalent virus against Christianity and its practice...

People by experience have become school of thoughts by themselves and have made themselves philosophical standards for humanity.
However the trend keeps going from one generation to another, nevertheless it's important to note that despite the experience, there is still one notable truth.
The Bible (the container of the word of God) still contains more experience than any individual.
A book inspired by God and written by men moved by God was never to be and can never be understood by man's ideology and / or experiences...
I hear people say about the Bible,
"in my opinion"....... ***
You're already off track because, the holy Scriptures was never written in the opinion of man....
Simply put, it is the opinion of God made into writing for man to be instructively guided.

SOME COMMON OPINIONS OF PEOPLE ;,
- It's not necessary to pay the tithes...
- You don't need to go to church to worship God... Church is in the mind.
- Praying in tongues is not compulsory...
2 Tim 3: (ISV)
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good action.
EXCERPTS FROM THE ABOVE
The scripture (through out the Bible) does 4 things basically...
** GIVES INSTRUCTION (TEACHING)
** GIVES REPROOF
** GIVES DIRECTION(TRAINING )
** BRINGS CORRECTION..
Those who tend to argue about certain things in the bible.... I would say, there wouldn't be a need for that henceforth...

Why argue!!! , what if the things never happened???
What if we are just being made to live a stereotyped life all in the name of religion???
What if Jesus never died or even existed and all we're told is a MYTH?
Now, all these what ifs, are just assumptions, assuming I'm just one of them...
The word of God is balanced and so complete that it doesn't need any philosophical assumptions or proof to make it more complete..
What is written in Swahili, needs a native of Swahili to interpret it...
Likewise, what is written in and from the spirit needs a native of the spirit to interpret it...
So you see, a freelancer can't understand the scripture neither can an unbeliever...

Deut 29: (ISV)
29 “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but what has been revealed belongs to us and to our children forever, so that we might observe the words of this Law."
1 Cor 2: (ISV)
10 But God has revealed those things to us by his Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the deep things of God.
11 Is there anyone who can understand his own thoughts except his own inner spirit? In the same way, no one can know the thoughts of God except God’s Spirit.
So clearly, God indeed reveals things to us but not by philosophical assumptions or man's height of wisdom search or proofs but by his HOLY SPIRIT...
DEDUCTIONS...
So if my opinion is not sponsored from the spirit, it's just my opinion and not the word of God...
If I'm not led by God, then I'm led of the devil, no matter how its painted.
I must say also that all these don't exactly mock God, it only mocks those who pretend to be called...
