When is enough, actually enough, in your world?

in #motivation8 years ago (edited)

As an entrepreneur you strive for success, strive to be the best you can be, in your specific field.

You scourer other competitors work, to average your success towards theirs. You spend countless hours going over the same stuff in your head, to a point where you actually get lost with the basics because you over analysed your initial view of how you wanted to present your findings on your ace project that was going to rake you in the big ones? right? well, heres the thing.... when do you draw a line in the sand and say enough is enough?

This is the problem, its called lost sheep syndrome. Imagine the scenario One person had an idea and it caught on around a group of people, as all the others had no idea what to do everyone else just followed that person, everyone else actually kept following the person! No real value was being added or even created and no real inspiration came from that group. also known as monkey see, monkey do! A vicious circle thats going the rounds. the question is do you want to be part of it?

It's the same for your entrepreneurship - YOU ARE THE VALUE you just need to develop into a better version of yourself and not a better version of someone else's idea.

It is time to take time out and rediscover yourself. go over the initial reason why you want to become what you want to become. go back on the old paperwork, pull out the old scrap book that gave you the ideas and inspiration in the first place and all those squiggly notes you wrote, re-read them. that was your vision, that was your idea, that was your dream. and yes dreams can be altered but you need to go back to the basics and redefine them. Funny enough when you do, you will emerge as a genius that you always knew you were (it was just hiding amongst the major squidgy thing in your head called a brain, that was being emotionally rattled by what others were posting up on social networks getting lost in the ego of i can do better than them.... watch, when in truth, it happens to the best of us, WE JUST WALK A BIT OFF OUR OWN TRACK)

you see.... when you actually say enough is enough you start making changes that lead to progress.

NOW that's what being an entrepreneur is about creativity and making progress.

(PS: No offence to Kim but there are way too many clones of her, and this is exactly the point. It's time to define your vision

So pull out that dusty book, grab that USB stick, or worse that ancient hard drive with all your ideas in and get creative. Why start something completely new when you have so many creative ideas stored away, that were put away because your brain was frazzled at that time as well.

Society believes we need to create new when in truth, that chap that I mentioned before creating the idea that everyone jumped on, it's soo old now and everyone needs something to relate to and we all relate to the past. The past is where our memories are and to be creative is to devise new concepts as well as improving old ones.

So here's to all our budding entrepreneurs wanting to create bold ideas, when in fact you always held the keys to your new doors, its located at the back of your drawer in an old book or drive which you entitled "Dreams/Business Plans" go find it and rewrite history.

Good luck, be awesome, do it in style and most importantly have fun.

One Love

As you are new to steemit and it can be hard for newcomers to recieve votes so maybe you want to try Steemfollower where you can earn up to 5x more steem than just upvoting by yourself! It's a simple and safe vote exchange that is free to use. I have more info on it in this post where I go over the system in more depth and, believe it or not, this has become my most upvoted post yet.
