Understanding Proper Timing

in #motivational4 years ago (edited)

More often than not, the difference between success and failure is in timing. People that are into farming will understand that there are seasons that should be observed in farming and this will determine when to plant and when to harvest. If a farmer misses the timing and plants a seed in the wrong time, even though the seed may be highly viable, it will not produce as required. However, when he observes proper timing, he will not need to worry about if he will have a good harvest or not. In life, there are many things that people wish or pray about but their solution lies in aligning yourself with proper timing. A friend of mine once made this statement and I see truism in it:

Time happens to all things, so you should make time your ally.

More often than not, the reason why people do not get the desired result of what they have done is because they did it outside the proper timing. For example, when you conceive an idea, you have to start that moment to put in actions on it when the idea is still fresh. If you leave it a while, the zeal and the oomph may be gone and you will develop a cold feet to act on it. Just the same way when blacksmiths want to forge tools, they normally strike the iron when it is red hot so that it can be forged. When it becomes cold, it will become difficult to forge. In the same way, the right time to start putting actions on the ideas that you have created is immediately.

Procrastination has remained one of the greatest undoings of many people's ideas. Their idea many be brilliant and mind-blowing but if action is not put into it, it will not benefit the person. Leaving what you should have done today till a later time may invalidate the actions even if it is eventually carried out. This is why delay in actions has the same negative significant consequences as an absolute inaction. The reason is that some actions are bound by time and delaying the actions will make them less effective.

The world is moving at an insane rate and new trends are on the increase, the same way new ideas are constantly being birthed. This is why you need to take timely actions on your ideas to avoid it going into obsoletion. It is worthy to note that there are many others that are already taking similar actions as the one you want to take, so any delay in your own will edge you out of the competition. You may not even notice it and you may not be aware, but you are already part of the competition in the world, and the competition is ever-changing. You need to find a way to align with the current trends and take timely actions.

A few decades ago, having knowledge of the manual typewriter was seen as an unparalleled achievement. However, in this era of the advent of digital computing devices, if you are still being centered on the typewriter, then you are already obsolete. As time moves and as trends change, you have to also upgrade and update yourself in a timely manner. It does not stop at conceiving ideas but there is a need to put timely actions into it. You will be surprised that the same idea that you have conceived is not exclusively preserved for you alone, someone else may be nursing a closely related or similar idea as you. Action matters.

There is a natural "grace" that normally follows the first people to do things or the early birds. Even in business, the early birds tend to take control of the market before others join and they will have an edge over others. In this part of the world, almost everyone calls every noodle "Indomie" because they were among the earliest to enter the market and they ceased the opportunity and took over the market. Now they have become more like a household name. So you see, everyone's success is heavily determined by their understanding and usage of time properly.

Hello buddy!

That's one great motivational post here. I must admit that I start to value my time more and more, and I started to initiate doing what's in my mind at the moment I think of it. Delaying things usually kills it, whenever we say we will start something tomorrow that actually means never, that's why it's better starting when you get the motive.

As you have mentioned life is moving at higher rate which means we always should be looking to upgrade from ourselves to catch up with trend and stay on the track.

Thanks for sharing!
