Classic cars purchased for billions are common. But, what about the motor? Apparently, someone has bought a motor worth nearly 1 million dollars, exactly USD929.000 or equivalent to Rp12, 4 billion. Gokil ya! The purchase of classic motorcycle worth a dozen billion occurred at Bonhams Auction Hall, Las Vegas, United States, at the weekend, as reported by Uzumistan Carscoopsyang on Wednesday (31/1/2018)

However, this classic motor is certainly not just any motor. It must be special. Vincent Lighting branded motor is one of 30 motors produced in 1951. Currently, the motor is the only remaining of 19 units ever produced in the world. Obviously already, this is a very rare motorcycle.

Vincent Lighting motor is regarded as the world's first superbike with the nickname The Legend Black Shadow because the tank, engine, frame and drum brakes are painted black. This bike has even surpassed the fame of Jaguar XJ120 which became the fastest car of its time.

Armed with a powerful 70 horse power engine with a capacity of 998 cc V-Twin. Its weight is also relatively light only 208 kilograms, this makes it able to drive up to 196 kilometers per hour. Its 6 Volt / 40 Watt ignition system that works alongside rotation of the clutch system, the performance is very good for the race.

Above all the history behind it, it's no wonder Vincent drew so much attention to the collectors. Bonhams reported this as the highest price ever paid for an auction motorcycle.
