How much force is too much?
A good cop movie, an improvement over those of the 70's in terms of writing/plot, stunts, and hence they also have bigger budgets. This of course doesn't amount to much if the actors aren't any good or not interested.
Thankfully, the cast is a good one. Hence the movie is also a good one and worth seeing if you like action or cops movies or the actors in this one.
We have a very effective police detective (Tom), some of his effectiveness is due to not following all the rules, and hence not holding back on the criminals. During an investigation into a child sex slave our detective doesn't hold back in the slightest.
This results in him becoming the focus of an internal affairs up and comer that wants to become captain. The IA detective is helped by Tom's ex partner until he is killed during a robbery, in front of Tom. This increases the IA's detective to focus more intensely on Tom. What will IA find as they start looking under the various rocks?
