¿Que le dirías a tu yo mas joven, si pudieras? Esa es interrogante que te hace pensar la película. Indistintamente nuestro pasado, la niñez y adolescencia son épocas complicadas para nuestro desarrollo, al crecer descubrimos varias alternativas o ideas que nos hubieran resuelto el mundo en el pasado, incluso si son simples palabras de aliento, en ese momento lo hubiera cambiado todo para mejor. Obvio, solo aprendemos eso gracias a la experiencia que ganamos al equivocarnos. Sin embargo, no negaremos que el apoyo hubiera sido bueno.
Si soy sincera, no leí la sinopsis al inicio ni vi el tráiler, deje que esta me sorprendiera, en ocasiones lo hago y he obtenido tanto buenos como malos resultados, así que debido a eso pensaba que era una película del espacio, un proyecto de terraformacion o algo de ese estilo, por el titulo, así que fue un gran impacto ver que se trataba de viajes en el tiempo. No me quejo, la trama fue entretenida, realmente me gusta este tópico de la ciencia ficción así que me emocione.
En general la película me gusto, fue divertida y maneja un humor gracioso, aunque hay partes que no me gustaron. Sin embargo son detalles, en ocasiones mi cerebro no puede evitar sobreanalizar todo, en especial si es de algún genero fílmico de mi agrado, es como si me detallara las cosas que no tienen sentido, al menos para mi.
El filme en ocasiones sacrifica la lógica por la comedia, pues este ingrediente esta muy presente en toda la trama, no al nivel exagerado pero si es constante. Un ejemplo claro es cuando vemos al personaje de Ryan Reynolds batirse a duelo con agentes del futuro, ellos llevan un traje de metal o de un material resistente, él como soldado de elite no tiene problemas en derrotar a todos con sus manos desnudas y un par de armas, hasta ese momento todo normal, el problema llega cuando, al viajar mas al pasado, tiene un discusión con su padre y le termina golpeando la cara, ese golpe lo hace saltar de dolor porque se lastimo la mano, inconsistente viendo las habilidades de su personaje, aunque es gracioso. Obvio, detalles como esos no me impiden disfrutar la película pero si me distraen de su curso.
Otro hecho que me desagrado, y este si es algo de mayor peso, fue como se resolvió el conflicto con la antagonista, esta bien, entiendo que tiene bases científicas, pero dentro de la trama se siente anticlimático, al azar, básicamente un Deus ex Machina donde no es la magia quien resolvió todo sino la ciencia. Al menos para mi, hace que todo el momento se sienta vacío y gracioso, aunque no de la forma correcta.
El mensaje me parece bueno y conmovedor, nuestro protagonista adulto, quien siempre a huido de su versión menos estilizada e inmadura, acepta esa parte de él, es decir, se perdona a si mismo y los errores que cometió de niño, incluso trata de guiar lo mejor posible a su joven yo, no solo para complacer sino porque nace de su corazón, él comprende que sus fallas, son su culpa, pero muchas de ellas fueron debido a la falta de orientación, así que la mejor manera para combatir con eso no es con odio sino con entendimiento. Lo otro que sucede es su reconexión con su padre, cosa muy importante para ambas versiones del personaje.
Me encanto los efectos especiales, fue muy creativo la forma que mostraban las muertes sin subirle la clasificación por edad a la película, la música y las actuaciones también son buenas, tienen a Ryan Reynolds en el elenco y para mi eso son puntos extras, pues me gusta su humor y autoparodia, otro punto a destacar es el humor, en mas de un momento te sacara una buena sonrisa.
En fin, recomiendo la película, si te gusta la ciencia ficción o los viajes temporales de seguro de parecerá interesante, además tiene muchas referencia y chistes que no aburren. Algo muy bueno para ver el fin de semana lejos de la rutina diaria.

Yo diría algo tipo: No pienses mucho en el pasado y habla mas con las personas.

What would you tell your younger self, if you could? That's the question the film makes you think about. Regardless of our past, childhood and adolescence are complicated times for our development, as we grow up we discover several alternatives or ideas that would have solved the world for us in the past, even if they are simple words of encouragement, at that time it would have changed everything for the better. Of course, we only learn that thanks to the experience we gain by making mistakes. However, we won't deny that support would have been nice.
If I'm honest, I didn't read the synopsis at the beginning or watch the trailer, I let this one surprise me, sometimes I do and I've gotten both good and bad results, so because of that I thought it was a space movie, a terraforming project or something like that, because of the title, so it was a big shock to see that it was about time travel. I'm not complaining, the plot was entertaining, I really like this sci-fi topic so I was excited.
In general I liked the movie, it was fun and manages a funny humor, although there are parts that I didn't like. However these are details, sometimes my brain can't avoid overanalyzing everything, especially if it's a film genre I like, it's as if it details things that don't make sense, at least to me.
The film sometimes sacrifices logic for comedy, as this ingredient is very present throughout the plot, not at an exaggerated level but it is constant. A clear example is when we see Ryan Reynolds' character dueling with agents of the future, they wear a metal suit or a resistant material, he as an elite soldier has no problem defeating everyone with his bare hands and a pair of weapons, until that moment everything normal, the problem comes when, when traveling further into the past, he has an argument with his father and ends up hitting him in the face, that blow makes him jump in pain because he hurt his hand, inconsistent seeing the skills of his character, although it is funny. Obviously, details like that don't stop me from enjoying the movie but they do distract me from its course.
Another fact that I disliked, and this is something of greater weight, was how the conflict with the antagonist was resolved, okay, I understand that it has scientific basis, but within the plot it feels anticlimactic, random, basically a Deus ex Machina where it is not magic who solved everything but science. At least for me, it makes the whole moment feel empty and funny, though not in the right way.
I find the message good and touching, our adult protagonist, who has always run away from his less stylized and immature version, accepts that part of him, that is, he forgives himself and the mistakes he made as a child, he even tries to guide his younger self as best as possible, not just to please but because it comes from his heart, he understands that his failures, they are his fault, but many of them were due to lack of guidance, so the best way to fight with that is not with hate but with understanding. The other thing that happens is his reconnection with his father, which is very important for both versions of the character.
I loved the special effects, it was very creative the way they showed the deaths without raising the age rating of the movie, the music and the performances are also good, they have Ryan Reynolds in the cast and for me that's extra points, because I like his humor and self-parody, another point to highlight is the humor, in more than one moment it will make you smile.
Anyway, I recommend the movie, if you like science fiction or time travel it will surely seem interesting, it also has many references and jokes that do not bore. Something very good to watch on the weekend away from the daily routine.
What advice would you give to your younger version?
I would say something like: Don't think too much about the past and talk to people more.
